Nelsons was the pub i went to when i was underage thinking it was the lamest pub ever but it was somewhere that would serve me so i went quite a lot to be fair but once i turned 18, i realised that a lot of people go there and think its brilliant, and to be fair they have a pool table, a beer garden and good music so it is quite a cool place to go hang out with your friends for a pint. Although it is a small pub and rather out of the way, its still pretty expensive in there in comparison to a lot of places in stafford.

The Nelson is a little gem of a pub in stafford… It has a comfy lounge area with couches, a number of general areas with tables and chairs, and a games room with a pool table and ItBox. The cocktails are around 5 quid for a huge one! Try the solero - yummy.

I can’t really fault Nelsons. It is a small (don’t expect it to be somewhere like Wetherspoon’s!), has a good range of drinks, including some very thirst-quenching cocktails, and the Bar Staff are nice and friendly.
Pints / Bottles are priced averagely, I would say. The cocktails are all about £4.50. Some are pint-sized, some are half-pint sized, but either way, they’re very good! If you can’t decide, or don’t know the different cocktails, or their “ingredients”, they are handily found above the bar area on the beams. Some of the colours can be quite exotic.
Overall, a 5-star little place to go until kicking out time, especially on Tuesday and Saturday nights where you might end up somewhere else later on.

this is where we always statr our nights out in Stafford. What better way to start the night than ith a pint of Cocktail. At the weekends though is does really get busy but the drinks are worth it and not badly priced either.

Nelsons is tiny and not very busy during the day or mid week, but on Tuesday nights (student night) and at the weekend the place is always packed. They have a huuuuge range of cocktails to choose from and they are all so cheap! Its usually around £5.00 for a pint of cocktail. Cant complain!
I’d suggest the shmonkey konky for a crazy looking cocktail or a death star if you want to get trashed. All the bar staff are friendly and they give you a free cocktail if its your birthday :)
