Review of The Sands Venue from 9 March 2013

Went last night 8th March to see Let's Hang On. They were really good for the miserable 70 mins they were on stage??
We arrived at 7pm to enjoy a 3 course meal? Not!!! the food was dreadful and tastless, price £24 with a show that lasts just 70 mins !! very poor, I was expecting a really good night, I was disapointed and home in bed by 10.30 ???
The venue is fabulous and really does have the wow factor, unfortunatley it is short lived and I am so sorry to be disappointed because I really wanted to have a great night out and give a great review but I can't grrrrr
I will say that the staff were excellent and attentive,they all worked very hard and clearly enjoy their work, it is such a shame that the food and general ethos of the business has let them down. This could be a brilliant venue and it should be what the people want not what makes the most profit for the least outgoing?
I hope they do get it right because I loved the venue and I really do want to write a more positive review .

Really good venue, good service and excellent food. But it needs to start bringing in more original artists in the calibre of Clare Teal rather than the endless stream of tribute acts currently booked. And some comedians too!

Hi, many thanks for your feedback, we really appreciate you taking the time. This year we have Dennis Rollins, Clare Teal and Snake Davis all appearing. It is difficult for a small venue to bring in larger names as their fees are so expensive and last year we found these bands were not very popular in the Blackpool area. We try to offer a balance between the Jazz and Swing nights (which are on almost every Saturday) and the Tributes. All the best.
