very disappointing! I visited the pub for a Sunday roast dinner, with my boyfriend and daughter. When I ask for a table for three people, I was told that they did have a table available, but were reluctant to let my family be seated there as they may have a party of six people come in!

A very good country pub with lots of character. there is a charming fireplace in the front bar.
The food is not haute cuisine but is solid and wholesome pub fare at a reasonable price. Sunday lunch is a good standard.
The staff are very friendly.
Rooms and conference facilities available although I have experience of neither.
Cost of 3 course Sunday lunch, including a glass of wine and coffee is about £23 (2 courses about £17.50).
