I used my Wowcher voucher for a cut and colour and was really disappointed. I just wanted the grey roots covered and a trim. Unfortunately the colour the stylist used did not cover up the highlights that were growing out and since washing my hair the colour seems to be washing out. It seems a non-permanent colour has been used - perhaps to save on costs. All my greys are showing after the first wash and the highlights are more apparent. The lady who did my hair was friendly but she only washed my hair once after the dye and no conditioner was applied. The hair cut also was really awful- loads of unnecessary layers have been cut in but I did not see all of these until I washed my hair at home and tried to style it. I was only in the salon for 1 hour which shows how little time and care was taken. Avoid at all costs. A big mistake - I am having it all sorted out next week at Headmasters.

What a great experience I was extremley delighted with the final result of my new brazillian blow and haircut, with the personalised sections of the haircut discussed beforehand to ensure it suited my face shape/hair colour and highlights etc.
A big thank you for the expertise and styling advice from Elsa, also my daughter had her hair done with some highlights to the edges of her long her it looks amazing and she has received appealing comments big thank you again……

I got a great deal on a KGB voucher and was extremely pleased at all levels.

Due to an accident up ahead I was 30 minutes late for my appointment and they still saw me. There was no negativity or rushing and the salon was really understanding.

I had my hair highlighted, cut and styled by a young lady called Chanel. I thought Chanel was really competent. I liked the cut (she didn't take too much off and listened exactly to how I wanted it) and I also liked the colour. I have read others' reviews in respect of blonde being yellow on their hair and I had this too although I know that definitely, in my case at least, this yellow was due to the natural red tones in my hair and I pre-empted any disastrous problems by letting Chanel know she should use a "cool blonde" and not a "warm blonde" colour. The salon was nice enough, as were all the other staff I encountered, but I am very glad I chose Chanel as she was attentive, really really pleasant, made plenty of conversation (not the intrusive variety) and in my opinion a good stylist. I would definitely go back again and would ask again for Chanel, although looking at other reviews Elsa also comes with a strong recommendation.

Love going to Cianna Hairdressers. Elsa is brilliant - my hair always looks great and I trust her judgement 100%. Nice atmosphere, all the stylists are lovely and you will not be bored while you at this salon.

I went in for a Wowcher cut and colour today and regret it The young hairdresser who did my hair was lovely and friendly but she did not select an appropriate colour to dye it with - it was far too yellow for my skin tone – and she did not do a great job on my haircut either, which was uneven and badly shaped at the front. The only good thing I can say about my Cianna experience is that I was well looked after with coffee and the hairdresser did try to made amends by putting some toner on my hair to play down the yellow tinge after I’d expressed disappointment with it, and she tried to improve the cut to even it out on each side. But it was clear that she did not know how to shape it properly and she kept making excuses that my conditioner had made my hair yellow already and that her own colour seletion matched what was already there. I also noticed that the dye was patchy and I could see white bits that were left undyed. Unfortunately, her laudible efforts to make amends was not enough to remedy the damage or change my opinion of the hair cut or the colour, which looked little better than a home cut and dye job (at least from the front). Now I am looking to re-colour my hair – probably using home dye kit from Boots. All told, I got a £44 cut and colour for £44 from a hairdresser that seemed more like a graduate from hairdressing school; I did not get a top notch bargain haircut based on regular salon expertise worthy of a three figure sum - as specified in the Wowcher advert. My advice is to avoid Cianna unless you have specific word of mouth reassurances to use a specific named stylist, not just book and hope for the best or avoid the salon altogether. After all, it seems from other reviews here that Cianna can do a great job for some customers. But, today, I think I drew the shorter straw and got a junior, not a colour expert or someone sufficiently expert in working with someone with my kind of naturally curly, thinnish hair. I am considering asking for a full refund now or at least a credit note from Wowcher to cover the cost of damage limitation attending another salon to get my hair restyled at the front too.

23rd September update : 4 STARS ****

After complaining to Wowcher, I arranged to have my hair done again at Cianna and went back last week. This time Elsa did my hair and she put in another colour, which was a huge improvement on the yellow blonde I had originally, and re-styled the crooked bits at the front of my hair and gave it more layers to even out the whole effect. Nothing was too much trouble and I am now very happy with the result now and even gave her a tip, which she tried to refuse. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because I had problems the first time I went and I feel that the problems I had should not have happened and because two cuts has meant my hair is shorter than I would really like it to be. Otherwise, great damage limitation and great attitude to putting wrongs right, which is a credit to them.

I haven't actually been for my appointment but I've talked to them on the phone several times and their customer service is absolutely appalling. Can't wait to get rid of you, don't call/email back when they say they will, unfriendly people. Not really looking forward to my appointment now...

I went there about a month ago with KGB voucher for a full head colour. I wish I never did!!! I had lovely hair with lots of highlights but wanted to change and go darker. The girl who did my hair seemed nice but did a really bad job. My hair was badly coloured, large parts of it were hardly touched by paint and still white. It was all over the place and looked awfull. I was very upset especially when the girl tried to cover up some of the blonder parts by changing my parting to the other side even though I told her that's not how I wear it. I didn't not argue with them or anything I just ran away almost crying. 5 min later I was in Rush salon inside the shopping centre where the staff were amazing trying to help me not to look like I just went through radioactive rain. Thanks to them. As for Cianna salon you saw how bad my hair was but all you did was try to hide your mess. SHAME ON YOU!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Saloon very entertaining, always busy and seems all under control. it's the place where you could have your hair done, mani-pedi and massage under one roof.
the service is absolutely fab, the girls are crazy, they also make a nice cup of tea.
probably the only place i will use within the M25 as the girls have noooo problem in offering the best service.

I recently had the best mani/pedi ever at Cianna. My hands and feet have never felt so supple and soft and this is a week later. The lady that attended to me couldn't do enough to make me feel special, from bringing me hot cups of tea to finding me cushions to lean on, I got a five star treatment all the way. She asked me if I had time (which I did) and then spent almost two hours doing my mani/pedi . . . bliss! Totally pampered and what a brilliant job she did too. I have spent four times what Cianna charged me in other salons and received a worse service. Top marks to Cianna for a top notch job, brilliant service and a great price. 100% delighted :-)

I have been getting beauty treatments from the staff that work here for quite some time now and always find them to be very competent and knowledgable with the service I receive. I'm always seen within five minutes of my appointment and leave feeling happy with my treatment. I've now had several facials here and always feel that the right products have been used and recommended to be used at home to combat any skin issues I may have. I always leave the salon with Dermalogica samples that have been given to me to try at home and love the fact that you get to try a product at home before parting with your money.
All in all a quality service with quality products and staff.

Booked here randomly as there was a deal on. Really glad I did - very happy with the haircut I received. I gave very loose instructions but came out with the haircut I wanted. They didn't push products on me (which sometimes can be the case at salons) but when asked recommended a shampoo I found to be perfect for my hair type. Unpretentious, effecitve. Also, they were on time with my appointment.

I’ve had my hair cut by Elsa for a very long time now.

Elsa really values her clients and always aims to please you so that you leave the salon feeling great about your hair.

I have to say I really love the hair products used which smell gorgeous and leave your hair feeling luscious and silky – so much so – I often stock up on the shampoo and conditioner when I visit the salon.

Highly recommended. :)

That was probably the worst mani/pedi I’ve ever had. They were running late by about 30minutes for my appointment, the young girl doing my nail/feet seemed nice enough but she barely spoke, I had to initiate the whole conversation. The pedicure involved sitting back in a chair and having my feet in a foot spa, which was just like a dowl of water, the bubbles were not turned on and nothing was put in the water. She did not file the dead skin on my feet or cut my toenail, just filed them. The maniure was pretty bad, she did not even soak my nails in water, nor cut them. There was nail varnish all over my fingers and I had to sort it out myself once I was at home. I had a groupon voucher and am so thank ful I did not pay full price for these two treatments. The salon seemed very dis organised and other customers were kept waiting for their appointments. I would not recommend this salon at all. The place was freezing cold so I was shivering the whole time, I was really upset that I had such a bad expereince here.

Cianna’s is positively the most fantastic salon that I have ever been too. You are always made welcome from the minute you step through the door.

Elsa has been colouring, treating and cutting my hair for the past few years, which is no easy task due to its varying textures and thickness throughout. I tend to enter the salon looking like an electrocuted version of Cousin It and always leave looking like a Beauty Queen thanks to Elsa and her wonderful team.

I would highly recommend Cianna Hairdressers!

I was delighted to discover that Seppi is now working at Cianna in Croydon. Seppi has been cutting and highlighting my hair for several years – she is simply the best! After finding someone who you trust completely with your hair you can imagine how disappointed I was when I found out that she had left my regular salon. Thrilled to have found her again – won’t be going anywhere else – highly recommended. Oh yes, and the salon looks absolutely fab too.

This salon is amazzzzzzing. I saw stylist and salon owner Elsa and she cut/coloured and styled my hair. The salon has recently opened and Elsa has cut my hair for the last few years at several salons in the Greater London area. Elsa is the best hairdresser I've had look after my hair - it always looks fantastic - recommend highly.

The salon is beautifully designed and the atmosphere is friendly and courteous.
