I purchased some nice smelling bath bombs from Summer Pudding. I’ve only used one so far and it was disappointing. The scent didn’t last once the bath bomb was in the water and it wasn’t very fizzy at all and left my skin begging for body lotion after my bath.
I fully agree with one of the other reviews about the outside of the shop looking deliciously tempting. As you draw closer though it doesn’t look quite so good. The candles (I think they are supposed to be like cupcakes?) on display outside were somewhat dusty, as were those inside. Perhaps some wrapping is in order here?
The wax in tea cups and glasses was also a bit jaded. The cups and saucers and glasses looked to have been dusted, but there’s not much that can be done about unwrapped wax.
Overall the little space was cluttered and overcrowded, with similar items scattered all over the shop, leaving me with a sense of confusion.
The shop seems to be aiming for a shabby chic look but is failing to achieve the “chic”.
I have to agree with the other reviews.
My friend and I visited the shop a few weeks ago and the outside is very tempting and inviting. Inside are some beautiful handmade things, I particularly loved the stained glass hanging ornaments.
However whoever makes the candles does not know what they are doing. My friend has been a chandler for over a decade and was astounded at the lack of knowledge displayed in the so called candles.
A lot of the wicks in the teacup and cupcake candles were off centre. In spite of what we were told that does not add to the charm and prove that something is handmade, it proves that someone has not taken the care to make something properly.
Also in the shop was a large round cake-sized piece of wax, filled with dried petals. I was worried about what would happen if the flame got to one of the petals and was told instructions would be given with the candle to keep the flame away from the petals. I know candles should not be left un-attended but how can you keep the flame away from something which is embedded in the wax without standing over it the whole time? It cannot be safe surely?
My friend commented that the wicks in the candle, there were four, were very small and would maybe not burn properly. We were then told that if we bought this large candle we would be given extra wick in case the wick was buried in the candle as it was burning. When my friend suggested that perhaps the maker should have used the correct wick in the first place we were made to feel very unwelcome.
In summary, a shop which offers some lovely items for sale but which sells candles which have not been made by an experienced candle maker and could possibly be unsafe to use.
I still want to go back and by some of the stained glass though :)

If you’re looking to buy the cup cake candles don’t bother, they burn less than 30% of way down. Website explains this but I wasn’t told this in store when I bought my cup cake.
Other candle makers make candles which burn all way down, why can’t this lady?
Doesn’t reply to emails either so cannot recommend.

I approached the owner of this business at the email address given on the website planning to buy 40 cup cake candles as gifts for friends. Unfortunately the owner was unable to answer if the candles needed to be burned in a close-fitting holder like votives or if they burned like pillar candles. I had to ask several times to get an answer but even then she sounded very unsure and in fact said people didn't often burn her candles but just kept them to look at. One minute she they didn't liquify because they're solid, next she said burn them in ramekin dishes.
When I asked about safety instructions or labels included with the candles as I wanted to give them as gifts and wanted to be sure my friends were able to burn them safely, she said I was fussy and refused to deal with me.
