Comment: Actually I really enjoyed the Cologne zoo despite the hefty entrance fee of 13 Euros per adult. The elephant enclosure is massive and very impressive, both on the inside and outside. There’s even an elephant calf at the moment. Finding parking had me very frustrated though. I stood waiting in front of a closed automated door (I think at the parking garage in the DEVK building) even though the notice board showed that there were still spaces available. I eventually found parking in the vicinity of the bridge by the zoo, which I thought was quite reasonable for 3 Euros for the whole day.
