What a terrible ordeal!

The menu looks great and the food looks delicious, but moments after we got the food on our table we were harassed by a gang of thieves that began to touch our food and then ran off with my brand new iPhone 5! The restaurant manager called the police for us, but he also said that this is a well-known tactic. So if he already knew that his customers risk being harassed, assaulted and robbed while visiting his restaurant, why did he let this happen? In fact, he told us that the restaurant's CCTV cameras do not even cover the area where we were seated, that his insurance does not cover such incidents and that he takes no responsibility for the safety and integrity of his customers and their belongings!

STAY AWAY, this place is not safe!

A little gem in this area. Not a tourist trap.

Had a teriyaki chicken sandwhich with sweet potato fries. Very tasty and good value for money. Nice atmosphere downstairs. Small and cosy.

I will return soon for the burger I think. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The first person we asked for the bill soon forgot, but it was not a big deal. It was a little chilly downstairs on  cold December evening.

Kua'Aina is a Hawaiian-inspired burger joint just off the iconic Carnaby Street, serving hungry Londoners tasty burgers at reasonable prices.

On a nice spring or summer day, the outdoor tables are the place to be, whereas for the colder months, an indoor area is available, although it's incredibly small.  However, what it lacks in size it makes up for in charm and quality, and the burgers are pretty good.  Not outstanding by any means, but they're better than your average GBK (although these days, what isn't?)

Worth a look when you're in the area.

I went here the other day for an early dinner. One thing about this place is that the staff are very friendly and attentive. It used to be called 'Franks' and it had been there for quite some time. I believe Frank sold out to 2 young guys who have bought the franchise for the UK. I think it's a Hawaiian themed restaurant.

I had a chicken burger and my friend had an avocado burger. I would day that the food was quite good. I'm not trying to be mean, especially as they are a new business and |I wish them well, but I didn't think the burger was anything outstanding. I've had better. I think the rolls are too hard to make it a great burger.

My friend agreed with me. The rolls were too hard to make it a great burger. The fries were good and the meat was good.

The restaurant itself is awkward. It's set out as a deli really and the space inside is a little cramped with no natural light. The location is great, just off Carnaby Street.

I would say if you want a good sized, blow out lunch at a reasonable price then this is a good place to visit.

I stumbled upon this place by chance when heading to meet a friend at his office near Carnaby St and I suggested we go for something to eat there as I really fancied a burger.

UNBELIEVABLE!!

Although I had no real frills with my dinner, the burger was perfect, the meat was juicy and had so much flavour.

My friend went a little more "out there" and had one of the grilled sandwiches. I think it was called Ahi Steak (I know it was Yellow Fin if this helps anyone), but regardless, it was also sensational.

An added bonus was that I was able to wash all this down with a cold beer (Asahi on tap!!!) which simply topped everything off.

We didn't have dessert, but I did see the fruit salad coming out for someone else and just wished we had more time.

I don't spend as much time in London as I have before but believe me, I will be back to this place to start working my way through the menu. One of the lovely staff who served us also mentioned that they had not been open for very long so well done to all involved.
