The Gym West Hampstead

I found everything what I need for my fitness programs at this centre, and it not have to be overlooked. There are many centres where you can't do everything what you want. The guys were very friendly when I visited them for a first time and it was a good sign for me. All equipments are high-class and it's easy to do everything for what you are coming for.

I got locked in the gym at 1am no one helped, the kiosk wasnt working to change my pin number as it was out of order and when i buzzed a staff member they kept cutting me off, that was the only contact i had for help, i nearly dialled 999,  luckily after 30 minutes i remembered my pin.
Even the cleaner tried to help, he was told to let me out and then not to by the person on the other end of the intercom.

Great gym fab staff or trainers whatever u wanna call them. Some members can be stuck up but u get hoggers or loafers in all walks of life abusing the equipments. The gym needs to urgently expant the free weights area im sure if they think it though it is possible also they need more smith machine also weights above 30kg would be great. Gym should take strict action against members that throw the weights around or do not replace them it is hard to find dumbells at time having 2 sets of each weights is not good at all.

Used to really like this gym, particularly because of the price, air conditioning and cleanliness, but the free weights area is an utter disgrace. It is hugely overused - to the point of being unusable during weekdays after around 6pm - and lacking in equipment (hint: get another Smith Machine to stop fights breaking out over the single machine there is now). Users also need to be reminded about putting weights back. 

This gym is oversubscribed now. Really put off as no matter what time I go, its always packed.

Not enough free weights. They keep adding all these nonsense machines like the bike with the screen etc.

The free weights are is too small. There is not enough space! Even with all the benches, when one is doing chest press or flys its as if you’re going to hit the next person!

The damn showers are always out of order. Its like standing in a queue in prison or something. Yesterday, the last cubicle showers temerature was not adjustable. So I had a coldish shower.

I was one of the first people that joined, and also introduced 11 people. Never any gratitude or referral thanks received.

Yes it’s a cheap gym, but this is not a place for those serious about training. Too many lil wannabees walking around like robots, and too many people standing around doing nothing, hogging up the only weights available.

My advice, stop taking memebrs on, introduce a waiting list like the other places.

Sell all the bikes with the screens coz no one uses them.

Remove that useless leg machine in the middle.

Extend the free weights area and add more dumbells, 10,12,14,16,18,20,22Kg

Sort out the cables as they always out of order.

Re hand the shampoo holders in the showers, not very nice putting your bottle on the floor when someones flemed out from their nostril!

I am using this gym for over 6 months now. Best thing is membership price i.e. 15.99 and timings 24*7. Gym is always neat and clean. Changing rooms are tidy. Natalie and Jane, the managers are very friendly. All Trainers are very professional and helpful. One of the trainer Joe, he even runs a TRX program twice a week for free, really appreciable. Katerina and Nando, two of the best PT I have ever met. Now weight area is not the biggest so if you thinking to use the it in peak times, be ready for the queue. I will definitely recommend this gym. Any doubt, just visit and I am sure they will be more than happy to give you a free tour. WORTH EVERY PENNY GUYS !

I love this gym. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Especially Jane the Assistant Manager/Personal Trainer and Imran – Personal Trainer. Jane did a fab programme for me. The equipment is also top notch. Now my second home. : )
