Phone ordered Tuesday afternoon . [I noted on FAQ page the box reading “Next Day Delivery” £4.99 – figured it would be despatched Wednesday and I’d get it Thursday. Good. There’d be someone in to sign for it.]
Order status checked online Wednesday afternoon – recorded as “New Order”
Account checked online 10.00 Thursday morning – recorded as “New Order”
Phone call to Wicked Gadget soon after. Answerphone. Nobody there.
Email from them 10.30 – “your phone has been despatched.”
Account checked online again, updated to “despatched” – No details of who with, no tracking number, no contact number. just “should be with you in the next few days”. Next few days?? what was that about next day delivery??? What am I paying £4.99 for then?!
Friday – delivery attempted. No-one was at home. Neighbour in. No attempt made to take signature from them. Card left offering delivery next day (Saturday) at additional charge of £10.00 + VAT!! Or collection from depot on isolated industrial estate 15 miles away plus lots of rigmarole with passports, utility bills etc.
So to sum up: I order a phone.
Nothing happens at all for two days for which I am charged £4.99
Result: delivery will now be on “next working day”, nearly a week after placing the order.
I rate this customer service as …… crap!
I am no longer looking forward to getting this phone….
I just hope to god I don’t have to send it back.
