Review of Luigi Malone's Restaurant from 10 January 2012

This place has sadly declined over the last few years. Ten years ago, it was a fantastic place to go, with great food and atmosphere but my most recent visit was a bit disappointing. The toilets badly needed to be cleaned, the service was only ok – we were waiting about 20 minutes for the bill at the end, which wasn’t too bad when we were in a small group but could have been better. My fajitas were average, not even slightly spicy.

Review of Luigi Malone's Restaurant from 3 September 2010

Everything about this place is just mediocre - nothing spectacular. Food portions are generous and the food is nice, surroundings are nice, prices are ok, the drinks are really limited though (both alcoholic and soft drinks!). I wouldn't be in a hurry to go again but there's zero atmosphere and the service can be hit and miss. Good value as regards prices, but everything else.....

Review of Luigi Malone's Restaurant from 22 October 2009

Really popular restaurant across from the opera house in Cork. Food is decent here but it's overpriced in my opinion.

Do like the restaurant itself, staff are nice and love the 2 throne type chairs in here!

Review of Luigi Malone's Restaurant from 19 September 2009

Overpriced and over-rated food. It's nothing special but at least it's consistent. The service can be very slow at times and the waiting staff can seem unmotivated. You'll get a decent meal but nothing to write home about.

Review of Luigi Malone's Restaurant from 7 May 2009

LUIGI MALONE’S

It was an hour past my lunchtime and I was in Emmett Place, the right place and time to try out Luigi Malone’s all day (up to 5.00pm) menu.

No regrets, very enjoyable, good food, good value, friendly service. Main course was a Jambalaya: chicken, prawns and tomato salsa with tagliattelli. Spicy, tasty and filling. Cost was less than a tenner and a glass of wine on this menu cost just 3 euro.

Finished off with their famous Toberlone Cheesecake with a cup of coffee and the cost for the combination was €5.90. The cheesecake was lovely –though I didn’t particularly notice anything that would make it famous – and the coffee was fine.

Enjoyed the break and would recommend the place.

Review of Luigi Malone's Restaurant from 4 August 2008

Massively popular chain restaurant, but with excellent quality food and great service. The menu doesn’t change often, but the food is deliciously tasty and happily consistent. There’s always a fun and festive atmosphere with birthdays and celebrations.
