süß. war gestern

I just love this place...It's a very nice pub situated in Friedrichschain, where one can find many nice bars.. Suss is not an ordinary bar, like many bars in Berlin, but this particular one is really interesting.
I have spent a lot of time in this bar. In everyday basis, is nice after a long day at work to enjoy a beer in this place. and it is funny that they have a screen with a a Supermario game attached to it.. many people stay for hours and play this game. I played once too and it reminded me my childhood, when I enjoyed a lot playing this game...
And if you want to party here, you can visit this place on Friday, Saturday, where they open 2 more rooms with different music in each one.. It's quite crowded and everybody is dancing on these days.The music is louder and more alive than other days week as it is a party day!!!

I love this bar. Good tunes and great interior. Drinks are good value as long as you return your bottle, which earned me 1 Euro back. Excellent warm up bar and very Berlin

They had a very beautiful waiter working last year. However I never found him again. What a pity, he did such a good mojitos and was so hot and looked interested on me :(

My favourite bar in Berlin, the space is unique and stylish, people are just Berlin-Friedrichshain-like. The drinks are cheap, there are different DJs every night and cool guys hanging out. You find all sorts of video game consoles and it's just the perfect hang-out place or party place on the weekends. From there it's easy to grab a cab to the numerous clubs in Berlin like Berghain or Watergate.

I went here for the first time over the weekend (1/11/08), the space itself was actually quite nice, and the music was ok for the most part. The service/bartender however, was far and away the worst i have ever encountered in Berlin. Obviously mistaking me for an American tourist (Im Australian), the bartender tried to tell me that I must tip him 1 Euro per drink just 'like they do in America’. 'This is also the custom here in Berlin’ he forcefully informed me. Being a a self service bar, and after 2 years of living in Berlin, I told him I thought he was making things up and that I didn’t believe a word he was saying. I was then banned from any further service, and he refused to speak to or acknowledge me again. So any English speakers should be VERY wary of getting ripped off here, and dont be intimidated if you are informed you MUST tip. I certainly wont ever be going back.
