Rubicon

We were taken here by some friends that live in the area.. WOW it was a great night out ..

Rubicon is one of Surbiton's hidden delights. The bar staff here certainly know their cocktails and the ingredients behind the bar are always fresh.

Check out the website for the latest on events. I haven't made it to one of the comedy nights but apparently they're quite good.

busy, lively, a bit pretentious but fun. Occasional hangout for B to Z list celebrut. Can be hired for private functions in the downstairs room, which includes waitress service.

I would give this place more stars, the problem is it use to be open fromearly evening, now everytime I try to take someone there, its shut!It’s a shame, but do go its nice!and in the summer even better!

Ended up in the Rubicon on Saturday night for a friends party. We hired the downstairs basement/function room which was great! The basement accommodates 30-40 comfortably and the staff will come down and serve you (albeit fairly infrequently). Cocktails are made well and quickly (Mojito’s were particularly good) and a great location only a stones throw from Surbiton station. Highly recommended if you are a cocktail bar person. If you are into pubs, then check out one of the other establishments along Maple road.
