Rude ignorant management who didn’t care that they messed up our table booking for Christmas day. Their mistake resulted in a miserable exerience. Despite the fact that we spent over £300 the management didnt care but offered me an interview with the owner. I attended that interview at the correct time only to be told by the cleaner that he wasn’t there and that he was a busy man. How rude!! We wrote a letter of complaint but still havent received a response. RUDEST PUB MANAGEMENT EVER!!

Decor & furniture is comfortable but basic – very much a pubby pub! We were a group of four and visited at lunchtime mid-week.

The service was good. We chose Swordfish steak, Tuna Steak, Sirlion with stilton and another Sirlion that came with an Apple Crumble desert.

The vegetables accompanying the dishes were peas and carrots – not much choice there! The steaks

were cooked as ordered. The chips were very chunky and well cooked. The food was generally plain

but generous enough portions. Salt & pepper came in little packets as did the butter. The fish was served plain – no sauces. Overall I would describe the food as basic with no frills. A good pub lunch but not for a special occasion.

Opened again after being closed for a number of years.

Friendly Staff, back garden, clean, Wing Naval pictures on the walls.

The day we visited it was understaffed with 1 barmaid & chef, this was explained that there would be a wait which there was, however on receiving our meal this was forgotten. The barmaid did exceptional explaining & rushing around.

Freshly home cooked food, great, yummy & it was even better as the 2 meals were under the 2 for £10.00 offer, not bad for Lasagne & a sirloin steak, big portion, gorgeous chips, worth the value at the standard price also.

They have a special board & other special offers, drinks reasonable priced.
