Like an open air market but with a roof. Probably 50 stalls or more. Loads of fresh produce, fish mongers, butchers, and at least two outstanding poultry stalls (French poultry available). Seems like you can get just about anything here… from hard to find spices to fresh herbs or international specialties.

I could shop there every day.

Fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, cheeses even flowers.
For quality and choice you just cannot go wrong here. It is a pleasure just to walk around and enjoy the ambience, you need to be able to live with crowds though, a small price to pay.

One of my favourite spots in town …. prices a little like an Aphoteke (drugstore!) but decidedly first class products from all over the world ….
