Stop by here for the tasty coffee and toast special. They butter the toast before they toast it on the hotplates and it is deeeelicious!
The crepes are pricey but the coffee is some of the best in Dublin.
The crepes in Lemon are fantastic. The inside is cramped and steamy and there are always people looking for a table. The crepes make it all worthwhile.
Smoking outside underneath heating lamps and/or sun umbrellas for the nicotinally challenged, but that only ruins the good of the taste of the crepes.
Sweet and savoury, all made fresh and to order and delivered with a smile by a hipster. Great background music according to the taste of whichever hipster was closest to the CD player and unexpectedly marvellous coffee.
I have always love a 'lemon’ crepe on a gray cold Dublin day (and we know there are quite a few of those!) when the other stores are rammed full of people sitting on their one cup of coffee.
Lemon is known for a two key things. One is the amazing fresh crepes, savory or sweet (cheese and spinach is a winner for me) from a great selection, packaged so neatly that even I have yet to drip food onto myself.
The other is the entertainment factor. You get to watch the crapes made in front of you, from the store window or over the counter inside, but beyond the memorizing twist and flick of batter is the staff who make these creations. Known in town to be a bit too cool, as if they were stolen from a commercial for surf wear, they effortlessly have crepe making hoisted up to another level.
After all that fun, if you are still adverse to the cold, you just might score one of the few tables inside and watch further as you devour your cheap tasty crepe!
