I went to Barrons because I had bought a Groupon voucher I have to say i was more than happy with the colour and blowdry that i got from Aurash I found him to be very professional and obviously knew his trade. Everyone in the salon was extremely nice and welcoming. I would certainly recommend.

I have been going there for years. I recently moved to Southfields and still make the trip back to North London just to get my hair cut at Barrons. Fantastic salon with lovely talented staff.

Barrons is a nice local salon. I have been going there since I moved to Muswell Hill three years ago. The service is always friendly. The haircuts are to a good standard and not overly expensive. Recommended.

I have been a customer of Barrons for many years and have always been entirely satisfied. The salon is friendly and welcoming, the stylists are great and know their stuff. They are always happy to advise and offer suggestions but never forget to listen to their customers. I recommend this salon highly.

Recently moved to Muswell Hill and tried out Barrons for the first time yesterday. My hair was done by David – really pleased with the result and the service I got there. He took the time at the beginning of the appointment to talk through what I wanted and what he thought would/wouldn’t work. Really thorough haircut and he recommended some new products to help me manage my unwieldy hair, but not at all pushy so didn’t feel pressurised into buying anything I didn’t need. I’ll definitely be going back again!

I like Barrons as the atmosphere is very relaxed and my stylist (Juliana) is very attentive to what I say and very good at explaining what can and cannot be achieved. I generally bring some exemplar photos with me and the result is never disappointing. I trusted Juliana to cut my hair from long to short and I never regretted having changed style and also my hairdresser, by becoming a customer of Barrons.

Had a terrible experience at Barrons. I booked a senior stylist and half way through the cut she (Juliana) admitted she was still at college and asked if she could take a before and after shot as she was learning to cut long hair short and needed to show her teacher! I said I did not want my hair short. She said it would be fine. Well she kept cutting it shorter and shorter and I kept asking her to stop but she insisted it would be fine. She said my hair was boring and she was fixing it. I ended up with hideous hair which was very very short at the back and sides and just a huge flop mess at the front. She said I could fix it up properly at home! She actually said that. THe hair washer who was a very nice guy came over and actually laughed at my hair. I agreed that it was disgraceful. I said I was not happy with it and she shrugged her shoulders. I rang the owner the next day who was completely uninterested. Too busy to talk. Said to come back next time I wanted a haircut. What? Absolutely bizarre. Bad haircut. Owner who doesn’t give a damn. Avoid this place like the plague.

This client was seen and attended to by one of our top senior stylists who has 20 years experience. She was given a full consultation to discuss the style she wanted to achieve. Throughout the haircut the stylist explained what she needed to do to achieve the required look.
When she had finished another stylist and assistant had complemented her on the haircut but she was hell bent on making a scene in the salon.
When she called the next day she was ranting, demanding and insulting. At no time was she interrupted but politely told that her claims would be investigated, she then became more accusational and began to use bad language at which point she was told that that the call would be ended.

I have had a poor experience at this salon. The Staff are friendly but I did not like the haircut I received. It was not what I asked for. I ended up paying for another place in crouch end to fix it – total cost £130 for a cut. Go elsewhere.

I had a terrible haircut at your salon. I ended up paying for another haircut to fix it in Crouch End. I am not sure why you are saying that this is not true? I am not sure why you would put your company on this website if you do not want customers to comment on their experience. As I said in my original review, Go Elswhere!

Review of Barrons from 19 September 2011

I started going to Barrons when I lived in Muswell hill and though I have moved away from the area, I still travel there to have my hair done. This is largely because of my hairstylist Florin. He listens carefully to what you’d like and then uses his skill to make it happen. He’s a perfectionist, clearly passionate about what he does and the results are always great.

Changed from another N10 hairdresser who I wasn't happy with. Received an excellent cut here by stylist Flo. Was surprised that Barrons are less expensive than most in Muswell Hill.
