Im sorry You Feel this way its not just the poppadoms you are paying for but also the generous selection of sauces,we were exceptionly busy last night and whilst this is no excuse for dissorganised service this must be taken to account. We are only 16 weeks old and have trained are staff ourselves hopefully we’ll do better next time.

What can I say but I LOVE this place. The best Indian restuarant around Wolverhampton. Me and my partner regularly go out for meals since I got pregnant because I try to avoid the temptation of pubs and we have been so many places but Indigo is our favourite. We literally live a 3minutes walk away but we love it there. All the staff are so friendly and polite, I wish more places were as welcoming as here!
The food is amazing, authentic, quick, reasonably priced and absolutely delicious, and this is coming from a very fussy pregnant woman!
I visit the place time and time again and I never get bored because I always get a different selection of sauces and always try a different dish which is amazing. I was never over keen on Indian cuisine before but since Indigo showed me what true Indian cookign is, I’ve fallen in love.
Always got customers but never too busy. Comfrtable, ample parking, easy to get to, local, friendly, tasty, the full works! I’m suprised it isn’tmore exspensive for what it is.. which is incase you haven’t guessed by my review… amazing!!!
My Favourites: Kabli, Korma, Byrianni!!!!
Follwing a reccomendation me and my partner decided to dine out at the relativley new Indigo Restaurant.
The decor was fantastic along with the service, value and ambience, but most importantly the food. We were offered some sample speciality sauces, which meant i didnt order my customary lamb balti. The speciality was just like the sauce and much better than any balti I have ever tasted and trust me (im a balti fanatic).
Overall a 5 star night, which me and my partner will definatley be visting along with our office christmas meal.

food is delicious, the interior is nice and its hard to believe your in the middle of warstones! The only downsides were the terrible disorganised service and the fact we paid £9 for 10 popadoms!

blahhh, 22 September 2011:
you are right. apart from the service, thanks for a great night!
I am giving this resturant 9 out of 10, excellent food, excellent management! the only thing i would say is hire new staff as some act “childish” but saying that what do you expect from 18 year old men. Defently reccomend to anyone and even if u dont like spicey food you can order to your own satisfaction as i dont like spicey food and they made the butter chicken very mild so thanks indigo and will see you for a 3rd time very shortly :D

We went to Indigo on Sunday as a large family group to celebrate a 12 year old’s birthday. From the moment we arrived we were all really pleased with the level of service we recieved. The children in the party were treated as VIP guests, the staff could have done no more to ensure that every member of the party recieved top class service. The food was beautiful, and the prices reasonable. We shall definately be returning customers and look forward to our next Indigo experience.

Myself and my husband had a rare night out on our own without the children and we decided to go to the new restaurant ‘Indigo’ on a wednesday night. We were greeted straight away in the foyer and seated in a delux and comfortable booth.
Our first impressions were how elegant the decor was. Beautiful, relaxing colours with just the right amount of lighting to give a relaxing atmosphere. The toilets were also lovely. Clean and fresh which I feel says a lot about a restaurant. My husband commented on how amazing they were too!!
We had poppadoms with accompanying chutneys and we were also bought out four little taster sauces of some of the dishes on the menu. I have never been a big fan of Indian food as I can’t handle my spice, the complete opposite to my husband, so I usually stick to the same dish every time…chicken tikka massala. After trying the taster sauces however, I ordered a chicken North Indian Garlic Chilli, something I would never have considered before! It came and it was beautiful. Gone are my Massala days! I also loved the Sadari Bhuna taster sauce and will be trying that on our next definate return.
Our plates were cleared, from every last mouthful of food and then from the table, hot towels were given and puddings offered. We had Gulaab Jamin with ice- cream. If you have not tried this Indian dessert before, I recommend it!
To sum things up, we had a fantastic evening at Indigo. Great atmosphere with polite and smiley staff, owners who obviously take pride in their business – nothing is too much trouble for them- beautiful food that we found no fault with, elegant and clean docor and well priced. Highly recommended!!!!

Went there a couple of weeks ago after hearing that it had recently opened up. The atmosphere's great with the soft music on the in background setting the tone, it looks beautiful compared to what it was. The staff are really friendly and the food also is really good. Can't think of the last time I've enjoyed Indian food so much from somewhere in Wolverhampton.

A shiny new restaurant with a fantastic menu, the atmosphere is relaxed, the staff are attentitive and a thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all. We were invited to try the speciality sauces before choosing our meal,
they all tasted great so we'll have to return at least six times to have them all. Food and drinks are reasonably priced, we were neither rushed nor kept waiting, all the staff seemed happy in their work and all worked hard to ensure an enjoyable experience. A five star rating for a five star experience (and the toilets are to die for!)

This Thursday just gone, me and my fiancé had the pleasure of dining out at Indigo following a reccomendation from a work colleague. This being the first time i have seen the building since its transformation from being a pub into a restaurant. The building from a external point of view was unreconizable and has undergone a major face lift. Upon entering, we were greeted by a member of staff immediatly, however we were starstruck by the interior design of the restaurant, they had really gone to town with this rennovation. Every thing looked like it was there for a reason and had a place, from the lights, the seating and the ornaments.
Follwing a pint of cobra (finally ive found somewhere that has it on draught), we were directed to our seats, which was a nice private booth which still maintained a open feel. Whilst munching on poppadoms, of which the dips were excellent, we were suggested, by the waitor to sample some of "indigos specialities" to taste with our poopadoms and help us with our order.
Following this me and my fiancé both had dishes from the taster sauces, a Sadari Bhuna and a Dabara Tikka, both of which were new to me and my fiancé, who are avid curry fans.
The mains were delivered in perfect time, accompanied with a cheese naan and a portion of mushroom pilau rice. The cheese naan was huge, and unlike other restaurant's the chesse was consistent through the naan, not lumped up in certain places.
The dishes that were ordered were just like those delivered with the poopadoms, and the C.T and Lamb complimented the dishes well. The Mushroom Pilau Rice was piping hot when delivered which was compulsory as my finacé had suffered from food poisoning from another restaurant which im not gonna name.
Following the end of our meal we were offered hot towels which were a nice touch and a conversation with the manager, telling us about the transformation and future plans, which was nice of him during his busy schedule.
Overall a brilliant experience, and lets just say talks are underway for the summer staff party.

Had the pleasure of dining at Indigo on Friday night (3rd June). First impressions were..."wow". upon entering the building I could see straight away that no expense had been spared in the renovation. tastelfullly decorated with what is most certainly solid oak flooring with differently coloured themed areas. we were seated in what I can only describe as an area which was decadent. the seating was comfortable and you didn't get the feeling of being a sardine in a can as you do in most of the other establishments in Wolverhampton.
We were seated promptly and offered popadoms as we read through the extensive menu. I agree with the above review that many of the staff were young, but speaking as a mother of a teenage boy lucky enough to be employed in an Italian restaurant...they have to start somewhere! The staff were attentive, helpful and very polite.
we were offered the oppertunity to sample some sauces before we ordered, very useful as they had dishes on their menu that we were not familiar with.
We ordered our food ,selecting a sharing tandoori starter and a vegetable selection between 4 of us. I felt that the apple chuntey was tastly and easy on the palate. We had a respectful interval before our mains arrived and we were very impressed with the dishes. We all chose different dishes and were all surprised at the different tastes we experienced. It was altogether an enjoyable dining experience.
The toilets were pristine. They were tastelfully decorated with again no expense spared. This restaurant is certainly one of the cleanest and trendiest I have seen and adds a touch of class to Wolverhampton dining!
I will certainly recommend Indigo to my friends and hope it won't be too long before I have the pleasure of dining there again.

Knowing I eat somehere different each week, Jen my friend at work insisted I must try, and so we did, last Saturday night.
It is in a converted pub and we were surprised to be welcomed by someone obviously not from the Asian sub-continent. First impressions are very good and no surprises that it is has been done out in the now obligatory "contemporary" style. I am not a fan of purple & laminate but each to their own and I suppose there was a clue in the name. It is a big room, they've spent a lot of money on the refurb and it has been well done. My concern is that a big room needs to be relatively full to have an atmosphere but then it can be noisy as the sound reverberates around the hard surfaces. Mid week perhaps the opposite and it could be a little too quiet and lifeless?
Typically the staff are very young & therefore inexperienced but all appeared smart, pleasant and eager to please. Our order was taken by a lady who seemed to be in charge.
Popadoms were fine, served with three dips, one of which, a sort of bland apple sauce was new to me. The starters arrived before we had finished our popadoms. Fresh or micro? The onion bhaji was fine but the seekh kebabs, of which there were three, were a fraction too hot and lacked depth of flavour plus they didn't come with fried onions. The side salad was better than average, nicely presented incl olives.
My main course was a bit disappointing, it was not as spicy as I was hoping for based on the waitress's suggestion. Although it was hot enough it was in a lighter, slightly creamy sauce. It was also plain cicken in lieu of the chicken tikka ordered. The wife's CT sag however was very tasty but a little salty, I pinched half of it and we both got up in the night to look for a glass of water - I suggest those with high blood pressure beware.
Our side orders consisted of very nice fried pillau rice, a "damp" garlic & coriander nan and a large plate of pale cash & carry fries.
For deserts there were a few choices from a hand written note, they haven't got their desert menu together yet. For a change we had a floater coffee but that too was a little weak. The bill duly arrived and I thougt it only fair to advise of the slight problem with the main course. She was apologetic and whilst she accepted my comments on the main course she seem to suggest that I may not know the difference between plain and tikka chicken - trust me, I do.
Overall the evening for me was just adequate and a little pricey. I'm sure if we had gone straight for the main course and I had chosen a different dish it would well have been 4 Stars but we didn't hence the 3 Stars.
