I recently visited the Ginger Group Salon in Ealing for a Keratin treatment via Groupon. I have read a few of the reviews above and have to disagree with the negative comments! My experience was exceptionally different - the staff were very professional and friendly at all times. They even took the time out to explain the service and the benefits of same despite being extremely busy on a Saturday. Great service by Chrystian! I would definetly recommend him and this salon in the future.

Terrible service and quality.
I had a groupon voucher for a cut and colour. Unfriendly, unhappy staff.
V poor quality colour - looked like a homemade job. Went back and they added highlights which were uneven, inexpert and made it all worse.
Thank God for Toni & Guy who were able to put my hair right.
I have read the other reviews and they seem a fair reflection of how bad this salon is.
I really would say do not visit this salon. I would have given zero stars but you're not able to do that.

Rude hairdresser with trashy appearance called Amy – find out her name from one of her colleagues as she did not bother to introduce herself, who doing my highlights left huge brown patch on the top of my head –as she was in the hurry to go home – she burned my hair !!! she put the heat on the machine too high even though I told her twice that it is hot and I could feel my skin burning!. When I noticed the brown patch I was upset and the manager was not very helpful. He was rude, did not offer help or solution. I left crying. When I got home my fair started falling down – it looked like it was burned due to heat under that machine being too high.

The haircut...I showed the guy several photos of my own hair as it used to be, asked him to give me that. He completely ignored me, gave me exactly the same haircut as his own and the male receptionist's. I have longish hair and only get it cut every few months...after him butchering it I am going to have to wait 2 months for it to grow back...and I start a new job so it's not great looking like an idiot for 2 months! And they charged £30 for all of this.

One of the most horrible hairdressing experiences in my life (including one time in Beijing where my scalp got burnt a little bit by the hair straighteners).
Booked an appointment on a Saturday. Went in, no one offered to take my jacket so had to put in on a sofa. The host had a stink face on and so did almost all the staff except the very young boy who offered me water. No one paid me attention for 5 min. The whole atmosphere was uncomfortable.
After 5 min a girl comes to wash my hair and does it so hard my brain started to hurt. Plus when I reached to wipe off water from my neck, she laughed and spit on my face (!). Now I know it might have been an accident but c’mon. So unprofessional.
The girl who cut my hair asked me what I wanted and before I could finish my answer she just left and came back 5 minutes after and started cutting my hair. The whole time she looked like she was in hell and didn’t even try to make a conversation. After she finished cutting my hair she just left without saying anything and started talking to the girls in the salon. I went up to them and said “Excuse me” but got completely ignored.
So I just went to the guy by the front counter and paid the world worst spent £55 and left.
There is no way in hell I am ever going back to that place again.

Yesterday at 4 pm I had an appointment for with the Ginger Group in their Ealing Broadway branch for a keratin treatment and cut, which I had paid for through Groupon. I have to say that many of the staff were highly unprofessional and rude. The man who behaved as though he was the manager/owner? of the branch was downright offensive. In fact the only people who were friendly and pleasant were the girl who washed my hair, the young guy who offered me a drink and the beautician who was helping out one of the hairdressers (hence the 1 star).
I was made to feel uncomfortable from the beginning as I was told by the stylist who was managing my hair (a total of 4 people worked on my hair throughout the appointment) that they had overbooked and that each stylist should only have been doing 2 Brazilian treatments per day, but that she and her colleague had done 3 or 4 due to the popularity of the Groupon event. Earlier, when the confusion of the overbooking was discovered, the "manager" had glared and starting shaking his head in disgust at me, as though somehow, it was my fault, as well as shouting and abusing someone on the phone! Furthermore, another stylist who was helping to blowdry my hair did not have the decency to say hello to me, even look at me, pulled and tugged at my hair and decided to tell off the other girl who was doing my hair, which I thought was entirely unnecessary. The salon had obviously benefited financially by the promotion, so although it would have been harder work for the staff in the short term to take care of their customers, it is their job and they should not complain to the customer. There was a complete lack of professionalism.
Both the main stylist and the "manager" were both very defensive about the keratin treatment from the outset, which did not inspire me with confidence in the treatment or the technical abilities of the staff. The stylist told me to expect very little from the treatment. I have known many people who have had it done and if it is done correctly and well, I have seen it to work wonders for the hair. In addition, I was told by both that if I didn't buy their shampoos, worth £40 then they cannot guarantee the treatment, even though i told them that I already had the same shampoos. In fact, as I was leaving, the "manager' told me very rudely not to bother coming back to the salon if anything should go wrong as I didn't pay for the shampoos from his shop! Outrageous! There was nothing of this in the fine print in the Groupon voucher terms and conditions (and there should not be!).
There more...My mother-in-law had kindly driven me to the appointment, and once she had finished browsing the shops while waiting for me, she decided to come into the salon to see how it was going. She was not able to sit on the large sofas that were in the salon as she had found initially that they were very uncomfortable for her, so I asked the "manager" if it would be all right if she sat on one of the chairs next to me (the salon was empty at that time of the day, except for 1 other customer, so there were at least 7-10 chairs unoccupied). He rudely replied, barely looking at her, that he supposed so, but if it got busy, she would have to move! This was after 5.15, with an empty salon! I have been to far smaller and busier salons, who have treated the people I have come with (and myself) with a great deal of courtesy and warmth.
It appeared that the "manager" was not even capable of providing the customer the correct information. As soon as I walked into the salon, I asked him how long the appointment would take, as my mother-in-law needed to know how long to insert parking money for in the nearby car park. The man's reply was a very precise 1 hour 15 minutes. When I asked how long much longer it would take after an hour of the appointment, when the first stage of the treatment, nor the cut were completed, I was told by the original stylist that she knew I was in a hurry (I was not) and got one of her colleagues to also work on my hair, with the girl who had originally washed my hair. The appointment ultimately took 2 hours. However, this would not have been a big issue if we had been treated with some respect.
I absolutely do not recommend this salon for their appalling service. I just hope they haven't wrecked my hair as well.
