Good but nothing to write home about. There are much nicer places in the area.
Tip - they always give you a discount when paying cash!

Mediocre at best. The Kingfisher tasted like 2 day old bath water and the curries could have been bought in Sainsbury’s and microwaved 5 minutes before we ate. Service was very slow (but in their defence it was fairly busy and we did have a big group). This place is a bit of a tourist trap and i wouldn’t recommend it. With Red Fort and Imli just around the corner, you’d be mad not to go somewhere else.

Very very average Indian place in the middle of Soho that would have three stars from me if they hadn’t tried to serve us dishwater disguised as Kingfisher beer. It takes a lot to stop me finishing a pint, but this stuff was just fowl.
the curries themselves were bog standard; not bad, but just really really generic, the kind of curry where it’s easy to believe that every sauce comes out the same huge vat out the back.
There are plenty of better curry options in the area, so unless you’re really desperate I’d avoid Delhi Brasserie.

Pretty depressing cramped Indian with OK food, and rubbish beer. To be fair to them, I was so exhausted I can’t really remember any of it, but my mates seem to have confirmed my worst fears! There are much much better places to eat around here…

Not bad at all although I would have expected an Indian in the heart of Soho to be of a much higher standard than this place. We all went for basic curries and I wonder if the more unique dishes, such as quail and seafood might have been cooked with a little more finesse. Yes, the Kingfisher on tap was rank and we should have sent it back rather than drunk it (very English). I was disappointed not to see anything spicy on the menu. At all. I went for the lamb peri peri (interesting they have a south Indian dish in a place called dehli brasserie) and it was very tasty but had no heat whatsoever. In fact the other curries I tried, josh, masala etc were all extremely tasty hence the 3 stars. I must say though, the bill came to over £20 each, which is extortionate for shared rice and a small curry in a bogstandard curry house.

I am also highly suspicious about the 'kingfisher’ beer in the Delhi brasserie. If it is real, which I doubt, then they must have added about three teaspoons of coffee sweetener to each pint, along with some kind of beer deteriorating agent.
The place is basically a tourist trap, and offers overpriced average curries for undiscerning tourists.
Go somewhere else instead!

Very touristy, in a bad way. They don’t have to try hard to get customers, and it shows. Service is efficient but unfriendly; they persuaded us to have draught Kingfisher but what they gave us wasn’t Kingfisher, despite what it said on the glass. Unfortunately we were all too wimpy to refuse to pay for 9 pints of it. They also “misheard” how much I said to put on a credit card as part of the bill, probably deliberately (though I can’t be sure - luckily the waiter confirmed what he “thought” I said)
The food was below average Indian for London, i.e. still quite tasty but nothing to write home about, or even tell someone outside in the street about for that matter. I won’t be going back.
This place is an unfortunate stain on Soho’s generally excellent and good-value culinary scene. Unfortunately, I’m sure the crowds of Spanish and Italian tourists (and Brits like us who should know better) will keep them going for many years to come.
Well done Delhi Brasserie, you are the recipient of my first bad review on Qype!
