while back I had a bad accident which left me with a permanent limp.
Whilst it doesn’t really interfere with my daily duties, it
certainly becomes an issue when it comes to moving. Lifting heavy
boxes is a huge challenge for me and it can get me down quite a bit,
making me not want to move. However, Handy Moves was very
understanding when I told them about my situation. On the day of
moving, the removal men wouldn’t let me lift one thing. They did it
all and they didn’t seem to mind one bit. I can’t say how happy I
am to have found such an amazing company. So many thanks!

Same generic answer without compensating or addressing the issue head on. I won’t be using your service in the future, therefore what you do to “eliminate” the problem from happening in the future doesn’t compensate for the damage and money you’ve caused and taken. Why haven’t you address my official complaints? But have the time to type out generic responses to reviews? Shows how unprofessional your company really is if I can only gain a response through review websites.

If you are looking for a removals company that will give you the option to do things your way and at your time and when you want to then I would recommend that you choose Handy Moves. I have used them for my house move but I know other people who have used their services for business relocations and one thing we can agree on is that both my friends and I are really happy with what we have seen from this company. They made my removal really simple. I was dreading the relocation process because I had heard it could be really long-winded but this one wasn’t.

I hired this company after hearing good reviews about them and
although I was unsure, because this was the first relocation that I
had ever done myself, I decided to choose Handy Moves to handle my
removal tasks and I am really glad that I did. Whoever said moving is
a lot of bother and nothing but trouble should hire this company
because I am sure that you will not be able to find any faults with
their staff or services. I have only relocated once and this was the
first move but if every relocation was like this one then I would be
more adventurous and could easily do it all again.

Fantastic team work and really high quality relocation services. I had a lot on my plate when I decided to hire Handy Moves to undertake my relocation to my new property and they were like gold! Forget the hassles or moving house, because this team work wonders and are exactly what they say they are. They are professional, skilled and friendly. Not only did they do the job they said that they would, they were also friendly which made me feel comfortable about contacting them and asking for advice. I can’t say that I have had a bad relocation experience in the past but this company definitely were the icing on the cake! Well done! I will keep hold of your contact details!

When the actual removal happened, the guys did show up a bit late but they managed to do everything for the estimated time - they even have extra bubble wrap and boxes which was life-saving as I've forgotten about some stuff in the attic. The team was very friendly and that eased the stress, so I give them credit for that as well.
Delivering our belongings in the new property was arranged quickly and with no fuss. All in all, this is a trustworthy removal company.

DO NOT USE these dishonest rip-off merchants!
We were quoted a fee of about £700 and told it would take 5 hours to pack and four to move. We accepted that this can change, that the quote cant be 100% accurate and the time could overrun but these amateurs took the biscuit.
Firstly they sent one less packer than promised (2 instead of 3). They came the day before and were supposed to get it done in four hours. They were half a day late arriving and were rude and dismissive when explaining the reasons. Then they stayed an hour less than agreed, clocking off precisely at 5.30pm.
The next day, it took them another five hours, on top of the three the previous day to finish packing, so in total it took about eight hours to pack instead of four.
When they finally got the vans packed, they took ages to arrive at the property, even stopping for a dinner break on the way!
By the time they arrived it was about 5pm (it shouldve been the morning) and it took them another four hours to unload.
When they had finally finished, they called the office who quickly priced up an inaccurate and vastly over priced quote AND the four delivery men demanded cash up front. Instead of £700 agreed they wanted £1700 - IN CASH!
We refused to pay, demanding to see an itemised invoice first. They sent one but as well as them refusing to to acknowledge all their mistakes, they had added several other costs that we hadnt even incurred.
Then they sent several emails threatening to sue us instead of calling to discuss the matter on the phone.
Eventually, and with huge reluctance we settled at just under £1300 because we wanted them off our backs.
To top things off they scuffed the wall leading up the stairs in several places and after putting our wardrobe back together it no longer opens properly.
These people are unprofessional, dishonest bully boys and the worst company my wife and I have ever dealt with. It really soured the excitement around moving into our family home.

You have ignored a lot people’s complaints as well as mine and apologising isn’t going to fix the problem on the customers side, nor will it compensate for the money lost! My review as above and others who are experiencing the same. Clearly your service has only gotten worse.
This team were just excellent! I have used removal companies in the past for my home relocations but none have been as good as this one. Handy Moves were fair, considerate and super reliable. I will not think about choosing another company again in the future if I decide to move because I know which company I will be choosing from now on! I move a lot with work and it really does make it so much easier when you have a reliable removals team behind you just to make the process less stressful and more comfortable. I am now happily living in my new home, I start my new job next week and I am pleased to say that I didn’t experience any problems when working with Handy Moves!

I have been doing sustained research on my move from London to Coventry, West Midlands. I have contacted several moving companies and none of them replied, except Handy Moves. The girl from their customer support was very nice and helpful. I gave them my inventory list and booked their service.
Their moving crew was also very polite and hard working. When they arrived at my house they were very well equipped. I had a lot of belongings to be packed, including two very large sofas to move from the second floor. The movers informed me that they weren't able to move the sofas and the only way they would do that was if the arms of the sofas come off. I was absolutely disagreeable with them, because I remember the first time I bought these sofas and they were taken up to the second floor without any of the arms coming off. I could see it was a bit difficult for them to move the furniture and it took the guys a bit more time until they got the job done.
When they delivered my two sofas at the new house I saw that one of the sofas had a scratch from my walls. It came off easily, but I was very angry when I saw it. However, they didn't seem to think it was their fault but offered to help and clean it.
Overall I am glad that the communication with their office was good and that I could reach them whenever I needed them.

I had to move from my old studio to a new 1-bedroom flat in Stratford. It was a very difficult time to leave the place I was living in for the past 5 years. I have moved a couple of times over the years and I used to do it all by myself. This time I decided to give Handy Moves a try based on friend recommendation and because I was busy as hell. They were pretty honest about how much the moving process would cost me. Their representative explained to me the whole process, gave me very useful tips and estimated the time it would take.
Three guys showed up on time for my move and they dismantled and packed all pieces of furniture I had. Unfortunately during the move I received a call from the office that they needed me there so I asked the guys to hurry up and finish as soon as possible. I usually try to organize everything, but this time I wasn't able to do that, because I didn't have the time. I even started to pack and wrap some of my items alongside them so we could finish earlier.
They couldn't finish much earlier than I thought. They delivered everything and I just wanted them to unload and leave the boxes in my living room. I didn't have the time to check if everything was there, but a few days later I did it and all of my items were with me. All in all, it was a very successful move.

moving process were great. I have already recommended your services

The move was a hard one because we had to get from London to Edinburgh so it was arranged over two days with the majority of the packing to occur on the first day and then the 8 hour drive on the second.
They did turn up on time and worked hard however did not seem to do as much on the first day as I thought necessary, so on the second day they were running late and I think because of this things were thrown into the storage facility we were using without much care.
When we unpacked the storage a month after we found large amounts of damage to nearly every piece of furniture - scratches, cracks, chips etc Boxes containing more fragile things had been placed at the bottom of 10 box high piles.
They had taken care with bits we had specifically pointed out, or had bubble wrapped ourselves but other things (we had a packing service too) had been chucked into boxes resulting in damage where a little big of bubble wrap or care would have prevented it.
All in all, the amount of damage caused is probably going to cost us upwards of £1000 - from things such as replacing drawers which are so scratched up, to broken boxes and items to things like cooking equipment which was so badly packed it is ruined.
If you think of using these movers then they are thorough, work hard and do get the job done and are generally professional and helpful, however I would recommend packing everything yourself and make sure you point out every single item that needs care to be taken with it otherwise they won't and it may ending up costing you quite a lot of money. Also don't rely on the invoice they send to be the final price as it seems to sneak up with every email you get from them.
