Absolutely amazing. Went in there for a weird spirit and they had it. Also served it with a smile. You have to be careful so many wonderful, weird and wacky spirits to buy!!

Review of Gerry's from 2 October 2011

Long story short? If you can’t find it here, it probably isn’t available in this country. And even then, they’d tried to get it for you.

Crazy place - perfect for the eclectic boozehound. One of the broadest selections of alcohol in London I have seen - if you are looking for something difficult to find, start here.

Review of Gerry's from 19 March 2009

Probably the most eclectic mix of booze I have ever seen in London.
Ahhh, this is like a sweet shop for adults. They will get there hands on anything for you. And what I like most is the extensive range of miniatures.

Review of Gerry's from 19 August 2008

Gerry’s is in a class of its own. Difficult to walk down Old Compton Street without a sidelong (or full-on) glance through the window. Even if alcohol doesn’t have a starring role in your life, it’s a quirky and interesting shop to visit.

If you’re after an eclectic, specialist, or hard-to-find product, you’re more than likely to find it here. Fernet Branca: check; violet syrup: check, along with all the ingredients you could desire (or dream-up) for creative or themed cocktails and concoctions. Staff are patient and helpful. Great for gifts and handy for a tantalising selection of miniatures.

Review of Gerry's from 17 August 2008

It is known that I an unable to pass this shop without a little look in the window. It has the most amazing range of spirts. I feel that heaven might be a little like the window of this shop. I have only purchased items three or four times here but they are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly without being intimidating.

Amazing choice and many items are always in stock. Gerry’s is ideal for present buying this store is the bee knees with it comes to offlicences.

Siany I approve of this type of present buying. Please buy me presents from here.

Review of Gerry's from 15 August 2008

Can’t believe Gerry’s hasn’t been reviewed yet!

This Old Compton Street institution is one of the best bottle shops/liquor stores/off licenses…whatever you want to call it, in the whole of London.

Their motto is 'At Gerry’s you can buy almost any drink under the sun’ and they’re not lying. It’s like an Aladdin’s cave of alcohol with bottles of wines, spirits and beer lining the walls from floor to ceiling.

Don’t be intimidated by the choice though, the guys behind the counter are really friendly and know what they’re talking about and will gladly help you find something suitable within your budget.
