Giraffe, Herzeliyya

Giraffe is an “all-around Asian” chain of restaurants which is well known in Israel. This particular branch is a popular place to eat in Herzeliya Pituach due to the affordability of the dishes and it’s location: surrounded by office buildings and hungry high-tech lunch goers.

We went to Giraffe for lunch in the middle of the week, and it was packed to the brim. We probably wouldn’t have been able to get a place to sit if we wouldn’t have reserved seats in advance.

We all ordered various Asian dishes - my brother ordered black noodles with seafood, I had the Gioza friend dumplings with a side of inside-out california roll.

The food was affordable, but I felt like it lacked a certain “punch”. It was all very plain to the taste, and the place itself looked like one of those infamous gas-station rest stop restaurants.

It’d be great if Giraffe would put a little more effort in the look and feel of the restaurant as well as spiced their dishes up a tad. They’re not bad, just very plain, but there’s nothing about Giraffe which differentiates it from the other Asian restaurants in the Pituach area, except for maybe the price.
