But the reason I am writing this review at all is the truly outstanding customer service at this particular branch. Firstly, after having had a horrible coffee experience at the Pizza Express on Upper Richmond Road, we asked the waitress in confidence about what she thought of the coffee here. She gave an honest answer and it was confirmed by us later (the coffee is good, but nothing to write home about). I do recommend the hot chocolate though.
Secondly, we ordered apple and ginger gyoza (hot sweet dumplings, basically) for dessert. After a few minutes, the waitress comes over and apologises profusely - the dumplings had been dropped on the floor while still in the kitchen, and it would take them a few more minutes to make a new batch. I was really impressed by this. They could have just scooped it off the floor and served it, or simply not told us and let us wait for longer. Unrelatedly, when they did arrive, the gyoza were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Also ran: Passionfruit cheesecake, nice but a bit too sweet.

Love love love me a wagamama. This is one of my favourite ones to go to - ginger chicken udon and yaki soba are always hits with me. Edammame beans are delicious and most of the time staff are very helpful. You do have to be used to the ways of wagamama and remember that your food will not arrive all at the same time. If you are ok with that then welcome to a good night of food. Free green tea is always handy too :)

The food was poor. I ate a wagamamas ramen (noodle soup). I have to say i dont think i've ever had a meal so bland of flavour! Soup tasted like hot water and most of the ingredients were tasteless. I have eaten in wagamamas before and eaten a chicken ramen and it was lovely, so very disappointed with putneys offerings!

Standard Wagamama stuff, but in a light, airy, ground-floor setting, with particularly friendly service. This is not the biggest Wagamama’s, so it can get quite crowded at various times.
If you have not been to a W’s before, be prepared for the lack of individual tables and seats. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but the place is more suited to a fun/friendly lunch than a romantic dinner ending in the presentation of a ring.

The restaurant is often busy and on several occasions we have been sat far to close to somebloy we dont know to cram as many customers in as possible. The food is good and I can especially recommend the fruit juices which are freshly prepared and taste delicious. Also great if you just want a quick meal before visiting the cinema across the road.

As with most Wagamamas’ the experience will be very similar, just the location will differ. If you like Japanese noodles (ramen) they you’ll like the food on offer. A busy restaurant but some of the more central ones are even busier. If your’e there, have an ice cold beer with your order, it adds a refreshing edge to your steaming bowl of noodles.

Wagamama is an extremely successful Japanese style restaurant on Putney High Street.
The menu contains the likes of Ramen and Tepppan fried noddle dishes, but also a choice of Japanese curries with rice.
Side dishes include dumplings, prawns, steamed soya beans, miso soup and the like. Wine and beer are available, but also fresh juices and green tea.
The orders are taken on small PDA style devices, and are transmitted electronically to the kitchen. The food is brought out as soon as it's ready, so don't expect it to arrive all at once.
The décor of the restaurant is pretty modern, and you often share the long tables with other customers - which gives the slight feeling that you are in a fast food restaurant, but fun at the same time.
The food is tasty, although not quite as good as Hare and Tortoise on the Upper Richmond road in my opinion. Prices are also a bit more expensive, with main dishes around the £8 mark.
