2 reviews of NO: ID Gallery in English
Places like this are so rare and so important that I hope NO:ID Gallery manages to hang on to the building long enough to carry on all their great work.
As an underground project offering cheap exhibition space to artists (established or not) on a completely non-partisan basis, NO:ID don’t attempt to judge, categorise or play tastemaker, simply allowing people to be creative and feel supported by their peers.
Regular screen printing workshops take place and there are sometimes film nights and other events. I performed music there one Saturday night and there was an amazing atmosphere - it’s rare (and quite scary) that people listen so intently.
NO:ID Gallery really is open to all, and anyone can book the space to show their work - so do go down there, do book yourself in and do support it, otherwise places like this will start disappearing and we won’t realise just how much we’ll miss them until it’s too late.
The NO:ID gallery, which is tucked away in heart of London’s trendy Shoreditch district on the capital’s eastside, is a hub of fresh, creative talent. NO:ID Gallery plays hosts to weekly art exhibitions (Friday – Sunday, 1pm – 7pm) and private viewings (every Thursday, 6pm – 9pm). Recent exhibitions have included ‘Ex-Hibition’ by Felix Gumpoltsberger and a showcase called ‘PER-FORM-ANCE’. Contact NO:ID Gallery for info on up and coming exhibitions and showcases.
