6 reviews of South Holland Centre in English
This is the main focal point of the town. Numerous events are put on here throughout the year, there is also a cinema screen with showings not too behind the main cinema chains. There is a cafe which provides freshly prepared food from a rather extensive menu. The local am-dram company also put on excellent panto performances here every year.
It is also where the Spalding tourist board is located.

I think this place is great. All the staff are friendly and helpful, the cafe is great, entertainment great, well basically anything is great there and is well worth a visit. I have been going there to see films ever since I can remember and I never get tired of it!

The South Holland Centre is the main centre for Spalding if you like.
I believe it is the official tourist information centre. It houses meeting rooms, a stage, a cinema and a restaurant.
The cinema shows films that are two to three months old but it is the only showing in the town. Very modern building design.

South Holland Centre would be the cultural centrepiece of Spalding, doubling up as both a small independent cinema and an arts centre. Though it has to be said it’s normally a month or two behind for film releases, such is the price for not being one of the many cine-clones around the country. Because it’s doubles up it isn’t a true cinema and the screen is a pull down, which whilst not exactly start of the art, it lends itself to a more homely affair. Though this is offset by the fact that it’s only £5 a ticket, and the friendly nature of the staff.
As an arts centre it doesn’t attract huge names, but it does supply a sense that at least someone cares enough about the cultural well being of the town to try.
Facilities wise there’s a coffee shop which also serves alcohol (as well as a damned nice mocha) and the ever present toilets.

Personally wouldn’t be one of my choices for some entertainment in the area. You can get much more choice if you’re willing to go just that little bit further. I usually check out what is on offer, but usually end up going further afield. However, if you dn’t want to go to far and aren’t too bothere about what you see then this place is fine.
