Kempton Park Racecourse

i have to say i have only been to a few big race days, but kempton is by far the best. you can have a nice meal in the restaurant and still feel really close to what is going on, on the race course. not expensive to eat and drink. excellent day

Even if you’re not a gambler, or a horse racing fan, a day at the races can be a good laugh. Bring a few quid (not even all that much) and your fun-feelings, and you’ll have a good time.

They have several enclosures at different prices, from the private dining areas and diamond enclosures, through to the cheap and friendly grandstands. I’ve been to quite a few of the areas, and I can recommend all of them. The staff are friendly, and you can place bets at both the Tote and at independent tic tac men.

All in all, it’s a good day out, and it doesn’t have to cost the earth. Yes, you can bet your month’s wages…but you don’t have to. I go and bet a quid or two on each race, and assume I will lose. Any wins are a bonus, and it can still be a reasonably priced fun day out.

I’m not going to review the racing as I have never been, but its a really easy access site and every Thursday theere is a huge market there with really good fruit and veg, several mad butchers vans, loads of plants and basically anything you can think of - highly recommended

Wide range of people go to this track.
Great statue by the parade ring of Desert Orchid.
The parade ring is good with a big screen to watch the action.
Inside there is numerous bars and eating on different levels.
Lots of totes inside and lots of bookies outside including Barry Dennis from ch4 somedays.
There is a good restaraunt area to have a fancy meal with a great view of the track.

Clean and tidy and the staff are good and always clearing up.
Sometimes they put on activities for children.

Every year for fireworks day they put on an incredible fireworks display with a DJ and funfair. Also on thursday’s is the market which is also quite good. =D
