Chak 89

Outstanding service!!!  Amazing food!!!.  The Biryani was exceptional.  The Chak Chicken was mind-blowing.  While I'll still hold a special place in my heart for 'Delhi Heights' this is my new favorite  Indian restaurant in London.  (Plus, I prefer the location.)

My Wife and I love to eat Indian food and the hotel we were staying recommended CHAK 89. We arrived at the restaurant and were promptly seated. We placed our order and I have to admit the food was one of the best we have had. This is an easy recommendation to make. Make sure to make a reservations, the place gets busy. 

Excellent food with impeccable service. We went for small Birthday Celebration; the food was a delight in its presentation and flavours. The service was attentive but not over-powering; each dish described as it was served. The atmosphere in the restaurant is elegant with subdued lighting and, we sat on Sharuk Khan’s Favorite table :-) it was very relaxing and peaceful. The timing of each course provided sufficient time to enjoy and savour the previous dish without waiting too long for the next. This must be on your list of outstanding restaurants to visit when in Surrey.

Went to Chak 89 for wedding dinner, location is good as lots of asian peoples down the road. On arrival the place is quite deceiving as it looks like some kind of hidden back street casino. Has convienient parking for hosts who arrive early but not for an extended party of 300. Banqueting hall is quite pleasant and inviting.
Staff are very good, warm and friendly will go out of their way to meet your request when it comes to dinner service.
Food is good but not excellent, samosa filling and the aloo tikkis are a but grey and not very fresh looking, bursting with flavours of wholes spices which get stuck between your teeth. It is of the same standard as the local tooting resturants down the road but with a premium price. Serving dishes are very ordinary pyrex bowls. For the price, they could step it up a bit. Overall it was ok, for a wedding I would rate it as 4-5 out of 10, it makes a good upgrade for our asians who are still evolving and getting out of the school hall wedding with dinner served in it’s cateen.

Event manger is a bit ruthless as for the typical asian wedding where no one bothers to send an RSVP, half the people don’t turn up yet all the food is paid for and chak89 are reluctant to give that food away that has been paid for. Menu could definitely do with improving.

Chak89 is based in Mitcham,the restaurant has some good features like,
the food tasted amazing, good deals. My favorite was the chicken Karahi and the lamb too. i loved the butter naans and the salad. drinks etc.
Seating was good, spacious.service was good. very helpful staff. comfortable and would surely go back,very famous people come from all over London to eat.

I would surely recommend friends and relatives to go there.

i have had an amazing experience at Chak89, and it is worth visiting again i would surely recommend my friends and family.

i had been to chak89 for a family dinner and i must say parking is nightmare in Tooting but when i came to chak89 it was such a relief for my family and yes the restaurant has maintained its standards , the food, the service, wonderful and staff are so friendly i must say, specially the naan garlic naan was mouth watering .i will surely come back to chak89 and suggest all to visit as well.. chak89 u rock!!!

i had been to chak89 to meet my future husband and in laws for the 1st time n to get introduced to new family and i must say it was the perfect place i could choose as its a beautiful restaurant amazing food ample parking space and yes of-course the ambiance is superb. All went well and then the service was also very good.

i would definitely want to visit chak89 again with friends and family.

Went with a group of 14 friends for a birthday dinner and we were all very happy with our experience. The drinks and dishes were served promptly and without mistakes, the food was tasty and warm, and the place is clean and can cater to large groups without problem. Not a small intimate restaurant but for our group it was perfect. Some people in our group were reluctant to travel that far from central London but in the end they were glad they did!

i went on 19feb on velantine dinner and dance and what i heard about chak89 i can"t beleave what i have experience. from STARTER to DINNER it was abssolutly rabbish the music was could be better if they put more effort and we was so borred and disepointed of CHAK89 and we never come back to chak89.what a waste of money and time we went enjoyment and left disapointed.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone..

I had my bday party at Chak89. It was okay, the service was brilliant.

I was in south london for a night and went to an indian restaurant called Chak 89 based in Mitcham, Surrey.
I was with 5 other work collegues, we all enjoyed the drinks and the food there. I liked the lights and decorations. I am not a cocktail person but 2 cocktails they served me was too beautiful could drink anytime anywhere. The lamb chops was just perfect. Chak Chana and Chak Bhindi went well with the naan.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone..

one of the best Indian restaurants in south london in my opinion, a somewhat limited menu, but everything on the menus is very tasty!

a nice place for families or group of friends to go, a good atmosphere and decent prices
