Excellent pub for live music. Food really good too, sourced locally. Don't know why it's in here twice, though. It's only one place.

Commonly known as the maggie bank this is one of the most popular bars in shields and I think it is the best. It has a range of different ales and beers but what gets most people here is the food and the music. It does filling meals which arent too cheap with main meals at around £10 but the food is really good quality. They have live free enterainment where you can here some up and coming bands play. They also have various themed nights with severaly courses of a certain type of cuisine, spanish greece etc for £15. These are very popular locally
A good night to go for some fun is sunday quiz night. The pub is between the metro and south shields ferry so fairly easy to get to and from
There is also a large suite that can be hired for meetings/weddings
