shalimar

This is a gorgeous Indian Restaurant that seems to have been going through the doldrums recently. The food is beautiful. The decor is exceptional and the service is very very good. I am surprised the Restaurant has had no previous reviews. The main reason I have placed this review today, is that as from June 2011 the place is now called: SHALIMAR, with the same address and details.
The place has been re-born…again…now called PAVILION II

There is adequate parking, a nice waiting area prior to taking your table and value for money (when it was The India Lounge) was very good. When I have tried the restaurant with its new owners, I will amend this review under the appropriate “Shalimar” heading.

rang up for a take away as i often do from this restaurant and was told it take 2 hours to arrive as the place was busy they should’nt offer a take away if they can’t handle it

Been ordering a take away for the past 4 or 5 weeks from this restaurant phoned tonight at 7.20 and was told it would take over 2 hours for my food to arrive because the restaurant was busy im sorry gent’s but if you can’t handle it don’t offer a take away service

As soon as I heard that this restaurant has changed to The Shalimar I had to try it out.
Situated at Spotland Bridge (used to be Raj’s / India Lounge).

The Shalimar is a lovely contemporary style restaurant. The menu choice is excellent and includes some different and unusual style dishes. The quality of food was superb and the service outstanding.

I went here with my Wife and some friends and we all enjoyed it very much.

We will definitely be going back and I highly recommend this restaurant
