The Museum Of Witchcraft

What a fascinating place - a real labour of love! Beautiful location and simply fascinating displays. I couldn't believe so much of the stuff was from the 20th Century either! A real MUST visit.

I can honestly say this is one of the most interesting museums I have ever been to. I do have an interest in witchcraft and things like that anyway, but I think that this museum would be interesting to anyone. Every single artefact has its own story so I spent hours just reading every little card on the way through, it was sometimes spooky, sometimes funny, sometimes just really really interesting. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. I was horrified to hear about the Boscastle flooding in 2004, for the people who had their homes and businesses destroyed and I was also worried that all the irreplacable items housed in the museum would be lost. Luckily most of it survived and Boscastle is now back on its feet!

A fascinating place to go and have a look around, and learn pretty much anything you would want to know about witchcraft through the ages.

It’s jam packed full of displays and information about witchery along with some genuine witch-type things (for example bits of animals etc).

If the desire so takes you, you can buy a genuine witches broom from the little shop to fly home on. Defo worth a visit!

While you are there you can go and have a look around Boscastle, and the visitors centre is worth going into - there’s plenty of interesting stuff about the flooding that happened a few years back.

This place is wonderful. A lovely experience for those who want to know a bit more about witchcraft or even know quiet a bit about it and just want to soak up the atmosphere.

My husband came with me when we visited the local area and he came out afterwards with a much better understanding of what it is I do - and he surprised me with how much he actually picked up over the years!

The museum is stunning, has a lovely atmosphere, wonderful objects and really friendly owners.

This museum is amazing, especially as before i visited there had been floods and everything in the museum had been really well restored. So interesting to see the displays of herbs and read what cures a witch would prescribe for a certain ailment. The museum looks at witchcraft from every angle imaginable. I highly recommend a visit.
