Review of The Ship from 19 May 2011

This is an usually small pub by Fullers standards, where if there is popular sport on it can dominate a little.

I've always been a fan of Fullers Discovery, a crisp refreshing crossover drink for a former imbiber of lager, but the swill they served me here was not even recognisable. By far the worst pint of it I've ever had.

Room to hire upstairs.

Review of The Ship from 27 August 2008

Pretty decent standard pub. Cheaper than some of the pubs around, and serving the usual pub selection of sandwiches, burgers, sausages and mash etc. They have a good selection of real ales, and numerous lagers. I’ve visited on a Friday lunchtime several times and the service has been quick, and I’ve been happy with the food and beer. I’d probably visit more often if it was closer. The interior is of the normal pub variety, and we’ve never had a problem finding seats.

Nothing exceptional, but if I you’re in the area and want a drink then The Ship should quench your thirst.
