Pearl Lounge

I'm not from Aberdeen, but i have been to the Pearl Lounge two times now and i've had a brilliant night out both times.

my first night in Aberdeen i tried about 5 or 6 of the main clubs in the main street area and found the music was to cheesy and pop like for my liking so I left these ASAP. I found the Pearl Lounge and wasn't to sure if i wanted to go in as there was a fee at the door and i didn't want to be disappointed again but i gave it a go and i wasn't disappointed it was fantastic great music very dancy / housey (again it depends what music you like). Second time i went was a 2010 hogmanay and again it was fab, i will certainly go back in the future.

Have been here once but tried to go a second. First time it was dead, me and my friends were nearly the only people here. Would not have minded but I paid to get in. Left after one drink.
Second time there was a que, so I waited then when I got to the front was told "not today" asked him why he wouldnt let me in he just repeated "not today"
I would have called it racist if I was of an ethnic race but will blame it on the fact that I look very young for my age and the bouncer couldn't be bothered looking at my ID to check that its real. So if theres something as youngist or smallist then thats what Pearl Lounge is.

Worst night of my life in Aberdeen!

I was just 18 and was told Pearl was the place to be........ they couldn't have been more wrong!

You have to wait half an hour to get served at the bar and when you do it costs you an arm and a leg!

I have been back once after that and it hasn't changed, if its possible its worse!

You spend more time waiting at the bar than on the dance floor!

I hated this place! Not what it said on the tin... i when with high expectations as a mate said it was good! but NO... its bad! The floor is really sticky and there is never enough staff on the bar so you have to wait ages to get served! The bar staff were really bad when i got my drink too... I am diabetic and asked for diet coke... and got served coke! this is wat killed it for me! I have not been back since!
