What a place! I dined there a few times and it is great as a club, less as a restaurant. First, let’s discuss cover charge; I accept that and don’t mind paying, but come on, if I eat with a friend during the freezin Berlin winter, I have to sit inside. And since I will spend around 15€ a head, this extra buck is quite irritating. Nevertheless, the hamburger is OK, quite skinny for me. I like it thicker and bigger, like in Meat Burger up the Schönhauserallee (no. 11). The people going to white trash indicate exactly how the east side of Berlin looks like, for better or worse. It’s a good place to hang out with friends, but I’d take my next date to a more socialized place.
Bottom line: food price is okay, (8€ for a small burger with cheese), beer selection is satisfying and fries are good.

I went at noon precisely, midweek, so can’t comment on anything except the decor (agree with a previous Hamburger Mary’s comment, in that regard) and my burger. The decor looked cool. It’s a fun blend of old, dark wood, random artifacts, Chinese dragons, and a western saloon. My burger was fine, but uninspiring. I didn’t specify how I wanted it cooked (my fault) and got quite a pink one. The wedge fries were fine. I also did the soup and salad for 2.50 EUR extra. The chili was well spiced, but the meat chunks were huge (kind of like, let’s just tear up some of the burgers and toss em in). The salad bar had minimal choices, though the walnut vinaigrette was excellent. I sat outside, which I don’t recommend, since Schoenhauser Allee is hardly a calm, green oasis! Again, my fault. I’d go back at night, for the right music.

I love this place. It’s such a novelty. It’s like a haunted house mixed with live bands and burgers. This isn’t gourmet food but the burgers and chips here taste great (I was told they are organic) and washed down with a big glass of beer, what more could you want on a night out?

Stop complaining - there’s nothing else like it in Berlin.

It’s like a bigger Hamburger Mary’s, if you’re familiar with that restaurant in San Francisco.

If you like punk rock and fast food, you’ll have a good time.

If not, stay away.

This bar is simply worth coming to if only for the menus...

It lives up to it's name- it's a little pricey the burgers are good but not mind blowing many punters are freakishly interesting and the music is rock and roll trash.
Fun decor and concept-fails in it's execution

White Trash offers fastfood, but then more original and customized.
The interior is fun; lost of useless stuff stuck against the walls, foolish art and some christmas decoration...

The concept of fastfood & live music is nice and creates an unique experience.
The burgers are amazing, although the bread is a bit thin and weak..they shouldn´t use these to make burgers with...!
The chili fries on the menu seemed to be something we hadn´t tried before..but unfortunately they turned out to be a bit dissapointing. What can I say; when you´re serving fastfood...don´t forget to put on that extra bit of cheese (well..they forgot that for sure..)

Overall, White Trash is perfect after a day of sightseeing, as you find many tourists around here.

The music is fun, a bit loud, but be honest..if you were looking for a proper restaurant, to go over your day, ...you wouldn´t be going here.

The service is good and kind, and fun to see how they appear to be just as ´White Trash´ as the venue itself.

White Trash – hmm...The bar originally opened in another location, which had earlier been a Chinese Restaurant, it wasn’t nearly so big, and it had something of the underground about it. I only popped in there a few times so can’t say much about it but it definitely did have something.
Fast forward to now: WT then moved to a new, bigger location, where there was a possibility for live bands to play.
For a while it was great: Packed, noisy, wild, in short: Rock 'n' Roll.
Then it was decided, it seems, as so often happens, to cash in on that whole underground cool thing.
WT: It’s big, it has been and probably still is one of the cooler bars to hang out in, yes, all the up-and-coming indie rock bands play there, and yes, they do have the best burgers in town. However: call me weird but I really don’t need to go out of an evening and have bar staff ignore me and waitresses be rude to me (or vice-versa). I really just don’t need it.
WT is, I feel, at the point in its lifecycle where it used to be underground and cool. Then it was recently underground and cool. Possibly for a short while it was no longer underground but still cool. Now it’s neither. I find myself feeling slightly embarrassed now for the people who work there and think it will still continue to work to be unfriendly and rude to the customers because it’s WT and they’ll keep coming regardless just because it’s the place to be seen. That time is already fading. Very soon people will start opting for the new cool place to be seen, and that slow exodus may be sped up by the unfriendliness and rudeness of the majority of the staff here.
As to the music, the acoustic acts upstairs can be very hit and miss, sometimes really good, often really not. Downstairs in the Diamond Lounge you get the louder rock bands, and for a while it really was the place for up-and-coming bands to play. That has also unfortunately become a little hit-and-miss, but you never know, you might be lucky.

On the other hand, if you're new in town and looking for somewhere where you'll find an acoustic act upstairs and, on most nights, a louder band playing downstairs, and loads of people from marketing / advertising / MTV in the latest indie-rock gear talking loudly and looking around to see who else is there (Doh! This was going to be the positive bit. Damn!) then go.
If you want to eat a good burger and fries, then yes, this is the place. Just don't expect to be treated like you have a right to be there.
