Weißer Bock

Had amazing dinner everything was perfect service friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and wine selection great. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Weisser Bock is a hotel and restaurant located in the city centre. It consists of two floors. The first floor is exquisitely decorated with old furnishing and paintings. There is an internal stair connecting the ground floor to the second floor balcony. The restaurant also includes a large private dining room. Very disappointing evening! We specially went back to this restaurant with good memories from about 2 years ago. What a shock! It took more than an hour for our first course to arrive. And then there was a gap of 30 minutes till the next course came. The waitress forgot our wine and no cutlery or bread appeared for at least 40 minutes. Both starters and main courses were supremely mediocre. Both of us had fish but no fish knives were provided - this would be ok in a low-end place but not with the prices and pretensions that this restaurant puts on. Our coats were not automatically found and one of us had to go through the kitchen to help identify them - only to find that one coat was on top of a pile of dirty laundry!
THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER FAR BETTER PLACES TO EAT IN, IN HEIDELBERG!!!
