Just been to Salcombe for the day and stopped at ‘The Plaice’ for take-away fish and chips. Cod was £4.20 and £2 for chips which seemed a little high as the portions were not large – OK this is Salcombe and nothing is particularly cheap. Have to say the fish was tasty and batter was excellent. However the potatoes lacked any flavour and were too limp for my liking. So, the seagulls had a bit of a feast. Service was quite quick and the fish was cooked fresh.
