Review of Vue Thanet from 7 May 2012
I went to this cinema to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. My parents travelled all the way from Whitstable, as someone had given them gift tokens for a discount at Vue cinema. When we arrived there was a problem with the gift tokens, they kept us standing at the till for 45 minutes while they tried to fix it, before deciding they couldn't be used at all. My dad asked to speak to a manager, and he missed the first 15 minutes of the film while they tried to get hold of one, but  it turned out no-one was available anyway. We ended up having to pay the full price, which was extortionate. The seats were comfortable, but half-way through the film the sound practically cut out for a couple of minutes. This happened a couple of times. Overall the place was expensive and my experience wasn't great. As for the staff.... it was practically empty when we were there (mid-morning) and they were still running around like headless chickens. There didn't seem to be anyone in charge! I'd never go back there.

an overall adequate cinema! over priced at times for highly advertised films. the food and drinks are way over priced, and the normal seats are much more comfortable that premium. wide variety of movies, and great screens. in an ideal location for a nice day and evening.

My most visited cinema. Brilliant comfy seats (unless you have a sofa, which I found to be very uncomfortable) that you can pre-book (a charge is incurred in doing so). They offer a choice of seats, luxury seats, sofas and even beanbags in one of the screens!
The only problem we find with this cinema is that you have to queue in the same pladce for tickets and snacks which makes the queue quite a wait at times.

A Vue cinema so a typical multiplex theatre. Multiple screens 10 i think, and many many different films showing right the way through the day. Typical for a chain the prices are quite a bit higher than the local independents, but you are getting a higher quality of experience. Always something on whatever time of day you go, means its worth a visit, and you can of course pop to one of the local restaurants after, or before the film, to make a complete night out.
