We have visited the pub several times for a meal since the recent refurbishment and have been impressed with both the quality of the food and the service. We will definately be returning.

Review of The New Tardebigge from 6 April 2012

the orinagal staff members were really looking forward to the re-fit,its a shame that the top management are not backing it up,i use the pub freqently and am sorry to say,it seems to have gone to pot,fri lunch—waiting time to long, fri evening left hand doesnt know what the right is doing, these were complaints heard and seen from where i was sitting. 19 freinds and family used the pub in the first two days and nights, most will not be going back,i was going to book for my 60th birthday for aprox 40 seats, you will have to improve a lott for that to happen

Review of The New Tardebigge from 27 December 2010

My family and I visited this pub on 27th Dec 2010. We had booked a table for 2pm as there was 13 of us. On arrival, we were told that there was no such booking, but thankfully the pub was empty anyway so it wasnt a problem. At 2.15pm we ordered our starters AND mains at the same time to avoid delay. at 3.20pm the starters arrived. All in all the starters were ok, nothing special though. At 3.50pm the mains arrived. The steaks were ALL overcooked and dry.All meals were stone cold. My 5oz rump steak was as big as a chicken nugget (and that is no exaggeration!) We requested garlic butter with the steaks, and this was frozen, we couldnt even melt it on our steaks because they were also cold. We had a 3year old child with us who wanted jacket potato with tuna and when she tried to eat it, it was rock hard in the middle and wasnt edible. We then ordered some desserts, these arrived at 4.15pm. I understand that its 2 for 1 and I do not expect gourmet food, but with an empty pub and for the amount of money we spent in there.......this was completely unacceptable. I would have complained at the time, but i did not want to make a fuss and upset my Grandmother. Will not be visiting this pub again and a copy of this review has also been sent to the manager!

This is a typical family pub out in the country. The meals are 2 for 1 which attracts a lot of people. It is really good for the kids because Wacky Warehouse is right next to it. The food is not the best though, sometimes it has been cold when brought out and the steak has been over done, but that can happen anywhere, especially as they were very busy. It is very good value though especially if there is a large party going to eat there.

This place can get busy at peak times as its a wacky warehouse, Food is generally quite good although sometimes you have to wait a long time. Drinks are quite expensive but they have good offers on the food.

Nice pub for an inexpensive family meal. Set in the countryside it’s rarely busy in the daytime and offers a good menu which is cooked to a relatively good standard. Bar offers wide variety of drinks and are reasonably priced.

The onsite wacky warehouse is slightly disappointing as it’s refurbishment has concentrated on the cafe/bar facilities within it and not the place equiptment which was in dire need of updating to make areas more visable for parents.

A nice pub, set in the middle of th countryside close to the canal, which makes it a nice place to have lunch before setting out for a sunday afternoon walk. The meals are good and fair value for money.
