A great place to go on a hot summers day.

The play park offers a great place for younger kids to go and play where the foot paths around the two lakes offer a great place for a casual walk or even a run.

You can hire out the BBQ stations but these are charges at £10 to book!

Small, local, open air, reconstructed medieval village that was rediscovered when a large quarry site fell into disuse and as the quarry site filled up with water it became a wildfowl reserve. The guided tour is very good value, fun and informative. The guides are all dress in appropriate medieval dress and the buildings, smells, animals and setting make for a wonderful day out. Mainly visited by locals, as it is a bit off the beaten track. The grounds are free to wander around and observe the extensive range of wildfowl who reside there.

Cosmeston is a superb place to visit whether its the middle of winter or summer. The site is stunningly beautiful and there are a variety of walks around the lakes. Highly recommended for children as its a great place to take a bike or scooter and get round to the other side of the main lake to the adventure playground. This has a brilliant selection of swings and other activities. Don’t forget to take a bag of bread to feed all the swans and ducks, some of whom are very tame! Perfect for a picnic in summer and there is ample parking and also a bus stop right outside the main entrance for those without cars. Best of all, its all free!

this place is fantastic. a real paradise, and to think that it is man made form an old quarry, it brilliant! the lakes are really beautiful and attract so much wildlife, with all sorts of birds to see. There is a fantastic walk way all around the main lakes with display boards telling you all about the wildlife. There also BBQs that you can hire, theres a number on them that you call to and i hear its only £5. With stunning grass areas and amoungst the trees, its a perfect place to haave a family BBQ, and to give a little money to an amazing place and project. Totally stunning… get yourself there.. and its free!
