I would guess from the review by Idlesaver, that they have an interest in Woodside Animal Farm (reads more like an advert than a review).
I live a few houses away from this 'farm' and have to say that I will never visit this poor exuse of an attractiion again.
Being local I have enquired a number of times about membership. You know you're about to be ripped off as the staff always quote "every farm in the area charges like this" today I asked about a membership that either myself or wife can use to bring our daughter, response from the rude woman in the office; "nowhere would do that". I didn't enquire about other places.
Therefore I have paid £15+ just for one visit for myself and daughter and it was not worth it. Once in, everything is over-priced and of poor quality, and rude staff. In the kids play area shoes cannot be worn, well they could at least make sure the carpets are dry then.
We have yearly membership for Whipsnade, cheaper, only about 5 miles away and a proper zoo, Woodside isn't even a real farm, let alone a zoo. In short, if you visit here you will be disappoimted and your many is better spent anywhere else.
By far the worst experience ever on a day out. Firstly, the venue is overpriced for what is on offer, which quite frankly is a very poor showing of animals. I have seen smaller petting farms with much more on offer. The customer service in the cafe was atrocious, after waiting 10 minutes for a member of staff to appear behind the counter on a busy Saturday I was then told that they had no coffee as the machine was broken, I was then offered an instant coffee and charged £2.00 for it. I asked for a jacket potato only to be told there were none available, yet at the farm shop they sell potatoes allegedly grown on site and they had a baked potato oven sitting on the counter, surely it is not beyond reason to expect someone to put two & two together and stick a few spuds in an oven! I had to instead order sausage, chips and beans, I then waited 30 minutes and when I went to complain about the wait I was told to go and sit down and it will be with me in a minute. Not happy with this response I asked to speak with the manager, the girl who served me called the office and then informed me that the manager had said 'if he wants to complain he will have to come round to my office as I am not leaving to come and speak to him'. To say I was angry with this poor level of service is an understatement, I will never again return to this sad excuse for a farm.

Woodside Farm makes a fab day out for families with young children. There are farm animals to feed, rides, trampolines, tractor rides on a real tractor! One of the best features is the new play barn where you can have a hot or cold lunch at a reasonable price while the kids play in a generous sized soft play area. Definitely worth a visit!

Hi,
The Farm is set in 7 acres of beautiful English countryside in the quiet village of Woodside, yet is located just minutes from the M1 junction 9 or 10 near Luton.
Woodside Farm is a farm and mini-zoo with hundreds of animals to see and feed. They are constantly adding new species so there’s always something different to see.
Specially organized 'Animal Encounters’ are run daily throughout the year. During these staff give interesting talks and demonstrations with some of their more exotic animals.
They particularly encourage children to get 'touchy-feely’ with some of the animals including rabbits, chicks, goats, owls and even a reptile.
Specially prepared pots of nutritionally balanced feed are sold so that you can feed the animals by hand.
There is fun in adventure playgrounds. Swings, slides, Tarzan trail, fort, swing bridges, farm tractors, Toy Town, miniature farmyard, junior farmer electric tractor play area, and indoor soft play area and ball pond!
And new heated indoor play barn with play frame for 3-11 year olds and soft play area for the under 3’s.
Apart from the Woodside Restaurant & Coffee Shop, there’s also a burger bar and several food and ice cream outlets. Toilets and wash stands are situated throughout the park.
