When you get to the visitor's centre have a nice cup of tea and marvel at the view - it's spectacular.

Spectacular rocks and views and the perfect place for a picnic!
Good parking (free for NT members) and nice clean toilets and facilities.
Spent a few hours here exploring and climbing about with my 12 year old and partner, could easily have spent longer (heights make me nervous, but still managed to climb a few lol) Its a definate must see if you are in the area along with Malham Cove and Fountains Abbey/

Have just been here, last time was when i was seven.
My daughter who is 15 loved it.
The views are breath taking and the walks around the rocks are fantastic.
If you have never been before you must give it a try.
The car park is now £4.00 for four hours, but all money goes to the national trust for the upkeep. Cheap day out.

An absolute riot of fun for young or lively sorts. Natural weathered rocks, ripe for climbing on, surrounded by bilberry bushes and inquisitive jackdaws. An imposing country house and associated ice cream booth. This place is one of my childhood favourite places, and revisiting it recently just revealed its magic once again. Fantastic place, love it to bits.

This is a great place to take the kids.
Its also great for adults.
Loads of fascinating rock formations spread around several acres of moorland making it a natural adventure playground.
Educational too, with a geological exhibition in the visitor centre.
There is plenty of parking (pay and display)
Easily accessible from Harrogate,Knaresborough or Ripon

Not too much to do here but it is an interesting site it is fun to scamble around for a few minutes but then what? The rocks are very weird in shape eroded over time by the uneveness of the river floor worth a visit if you are up that way but I wouldnt go out of me way to see them there are toilets there and some time a little hut selling snacks

Fantastic day out, it’s entertaining exercise. The views are amazing. You can make it as easy or as hard as you like, interesting for ground dwellers to experienced rock climbers. Great day out for kids and adults alike. Quite eductional with information about how the rocks were formed. There is a little refreshments shack and public toilets and facilities to give your dogs water. Car parking is around £3.50 (all day)or free if you’re a national trust member or on a motorbike. Apart from car parking this could be a free day out.
