Review of Meera's Village Restaurant & Bar from 24 November 2012

We have eaten good food from Meera's Express and therefore visited Meera's Village yesterday. Despite the off-peak hour and no other customers in the restaurant, the service was poor. We had to ask the waiter for everything, including a glass to drink water. He did not seem interested in serving us but we had to pay service charge nonetheless!! The food was most disappointing despite the high prices per dish. We could not order a thali as there was a lot of sugar in the dishes on offer in the thali. we therefore opted for individual dishes which were oily, not edible, and unheated. The Paneer shashlik was weird and nothing like expected; the dosa and mari mogo were dripping with oil and lacked taste; the sambhar was cold; the coconut in the chutney had gone off; and the potato paratha tasted like a batata wada. The decor looked tired and needs a makeover. We will never visit this restaurant again!!
