Combers Hair Salon, Taunton

My wife and I have been having our hair cut and coloured at Combers for the past 8 years. They offer a high quality and very friendly service for both men and women. As a man I felt a bit embarrassed about getting my grey hair coloured but after a discrete consultation with Simon Willetts I have never looked back. I even have my favourite chair tucked away in the corner so that I am not on view to others!
All the staff are lovely, professional and knowledgeable. I look forward to my monthly appointments and chats with Simon as apart from being a top quality hairdresser he takes a personal interest in all of his clients. Each appointment feels like a visit to a good friend’s.

Combers is a must-visit for me whenever I am in the West Country. Everyone is super friendly and the sylists know how to make me feel fabulous when leaving the Salon. The setting and ambience is also really great. All in all – highly recommended.

Combers have been looking after my hair for over a year, I get great cuts from fantastic friendly staff and my colour is spot every time, which was not the case with my previous large Taunton salon. The really brilliant thing is I have just recommended my friend Clare and she came back buzzing and her hair really was the best I’ve seen it!!

I visit the salon every 3 months and am always made to feel welcome by everyone, I agree with the other reviews that you are made to feel relaxed and welcome. A real gem tucked away and you leave with great hair and know how to maintain it too!

After watching my friend have hair extensions applied with so much care I made an appointment. Fantastic service that started with a tour of the salon which instantly made me realise I had made a good decision. Can’t believe it took me so long to discover tucked away in the courtyard,but the bonus was that I found a new restaurant in Augustus as well!

All these years later, owner Simon Willetts is happy he has achieved these aims, but recognises there is much more that could be done – and will be done to develop Combers even further.
