Review of Piccadilly Institute from 16 February 2013

After reading the reviews I was already wary about this place, but a friend wanted to go for her birthday. The manager outside was nice, he let us straight through and jump the queue - already better than I had thought. The concept is great, with all the rooms having a different theme, but each room is so shabbily done, the only ones worth going in to were Noir and the Clinic. Even then the staff are impatient, security are rude, it's a struggle to get up and down the narrow flights of stairs, drinks are overpriced and it is VERY overcrowded.

If you are a girl, be warned, lots of slimy men grabbing you. Also, two girls in our group's phone got stolen - dodgy crowd.

This place is really good. Even if you dont like pop, mainstream rnb and hip hop, you have the house music in the upstairs room. Had my works gathering here at this club and my boss has commended me due to this place. so.. thank you for making our night a good'n and i will defo be reccommending you to our otther branches.

WORST CLUB EVER. Very rude bouncers. The so called 'manager' at the door was incompetent and not helpful at all. I am more or less insulted on the spot. He was the rude one yet he insisted that I have to apologise in order to re-enter to get my jacket - which was lost because our table was swept clean and they stored the jackets in the 'cloak room'. Quotes on the 'cloak room' because anything that was involuntarily placed in it is basically gone and lost. The people in front of me talking to the ladies behind the counter and they basically smirked and said the could not find the lost jacket. Clearly they are just not returning items to their owners, presumably if they are good stuff. Are they planning to expand their business and start selling all the jackets they stole from customers? Besides, the multi-room layout is very annoying with all the narrow stairs. Don't bother going to Piccadilly Institute. There are far more better choices in and about London. I would give 0 stars if I'm allowed too. Dreadful.

I am disgusted that this club is still allowed to be open the fact that former and current staff have openly admitted that this club is racist, and I have experienced this racism first hand. They only let a certain number of none white people into their club and I do not understand why they think that this is acceptable in 2012. If like me you do not accept racism I urge you not to go to this club, this message is for everyone regardless of their race. I want racism to end but with clubs like this still open we still have a long way to go. Obviously a racist club does not even deserve one star but had to give them a star in order to send this message and I hope if you are reading this you understand what a serious issue this is.

Very dissapointed with this club. We booked a table to celebrate birthdays but some of our friends were not allowed to come in so we all decided to leave the club and celebrate somewhere else. Also the staff was very rude, especially the main manager. They don't treat their cusomers well, in the end we were happy to party and spend our money somewhere else. So don't book a table there if you want to have a great party with your friends! your friends might not get in even if they are on the waiting list!!!

We got really nice sitting area just next to the bar which was awesome!! It a good night club, i really like there dancing floor. It would have been nicer if they would have had a bigger dancing floor as the clock ticks the number of people hitting the floor rises exponentially. I also like the fact that they offer really cheep drinks in happy hours. Even thought staff was good but could have been a bit more friendlier.

Beware!!!
Booked and payed in advance for a booth for 8 people. Arrived and was directed to a small table with just 4 seats, in a corridor, at the top of a flight of stairs.
Managemnet were extremely unhelpful, we were ignored for almost 30 mins and was told that they cannot guarentee adequate seating for a booking. Managed to get half the money back (nice easy money for them) and went to a much better bar with better service and better atmosphere (Grace – across the road)
The management and door staff left a very sour taste.
Do not bother with this place!!!!
