Brockley Market

I went along today for the first time and thought it was delightful, there’s a range of butchers, grocers, flowers/plants, bread/pastry stalls. I bought some lovely sausages, brie and an amazing bread which i’m munching on now :). I will definitely be visiting her on a regular basis.

I went along to the first one of these a few weeks ago. It was great, a perfect Saturday market with a mix of stalls from veg, plants, art, and takeaway food stuffs.

All the good folk of Brockley had come out for it, and it was as much as social event as a place to buy goodies, helped by the little benches they’d set up where you could scoff your reasonably priced cookies from the cake lady and excellent coffee from the Dark Fluid stall.

The Lewisham College car park site works perfectly, and it’s surprisingly leafy, on the nicest bit of that road. I hope they can make a success of it going forward. I reckon it’ll be a great spot to pick up some different Xmas presents.

- Worth noting that the Google Map up on the right shows ‘Honor Oak Park’ – it’s nowhere near HOP, Google has had it wrong for years! :)

- Also worth noting, it’s a nice 10 minute stroll through the conservation area from Brockley station, which is on the London Overground (which isn’t listed in the stations above here).
