Bar 69, Chester

This bar has recently changed ownership and the whole atmosphere of the place has changed. The doormen seem quite pleasant and there is a reduced entry scheme that runs in conjunction with the Liverpool arms.
The crowd in there mainly a younger crowd but still friendly.

The Bouncers on the door are thugs. I was out with cousins I hadn't seen in 10+ yrs. We thought we would finish the night off at Bar 69. The venue stole from me, they took a £20, then my cousins said we wern't going in so I asked nicely several times for my money back, to which I got blank looks, I then did a silly thing and pointed to MY £20 in the til saying I'll have that back please.. The THUGS dived on me saying I had my hands in the til...I only wanted MY money back! They threw me extremely hard onto the street, they bruised my pelvis and bottom, I got upset and a bit angry and asked to see the manager, they were goading me terribly, I approached them and they grabbed me round the head, then it kicked off as I tried to struggle out of it...I'm only an 8st 5ft3" woman who wanted the money back!! I susstained a black eye with cuts to the face, bruises on my body and problems to my right ear. As we walked away they were smiling and waving at us...I'm so disappointed I never reported it to the police.

Chester’s only gay club. Love it here. Drag DJ’s, dancefloor and seating areas. If you’re gay and in Chester you have to go here. Love the atmosphere. They charge entrance (a couple of quid) on some nights. Mainly young crowd.
