1 review of National Trust: Penrhyn Castle in English
Set in a wonderful parkland setting with magnificent mature plants. The castle was built for the local slate quarry owner and the family still live in the grounds. There are frequent exhibitions at the property and demonstrations of such things as archery. Schools are able to visit the property as part of the curriculum. The grounds are well worth exploring with glorious vistas of mountains and the Menai Straits. You can also explore the Secret Garden. There is a cafe and a National Trust shop stocking a good range of National Trust items. It is also famous for its Snowdrop weekends when they can be seen at their best.
