Honest food and a fantastic selection of cheese, make this CAMRA pub a must visit
With a chilled out selection of clientele and staff that are friendly and approachable, this venue has a very relaxed and homely atmosphere.
If you fancy a tasty pint and food, visit this pub.
A much needed addition to the CAMRA family that is very much needed, knowing that it's sister the Breed Louise is scheduled for demolition when Euston expands.

We were here on their second night of trading. Despite being brand new, the service was friendly, our food orders weren’t messed up and nothing broke.
I’m sure you’ll agree that’s quite a result. The place can only get better. They intend to ultimately have nine real ales and around the same cask ciders. (Rare for London!)
We tried three of the ciders. They were all good but a little too warm. The frosted glasses didn’t do enough to keep the drink cool in the warm evening. Presumably this will change.
The Duchess used to be a pub called the Brook that unsuccessfully tried to be half-pub, half-white-tablecloth. The food was too fussy and the wine list a little pompous. It was one of those places that couldn’t decide what to be. (I suspect a frustrated chef yearning to work in a michelin kitchen.)
Not so the Duchess! They’ve converted the white-tablecloth section into more pub space, with your choice of couches or tables. The wine list is confident and well priced (there’s even a Hungarian cabernet sauvignon), and they actually serve pub food -again at great prices for the location.
Once they get a handle on the temperature of the cask cider I think I can confidently say we’ve found our new local.
There’s a decent if a little spartan outside space for smokers too.
Go here if you’re in the Stamford Brook area.

Came in on a Sunday, live jazz playing in lounge area at pleasant volume. Full range of cask ales and ciders (yes!) and lots of people eating.
All in all, friendly & relaxed local pub – refreshing change of pace from the chaos of the Chiswick High Road pubs.

Sounds like a good place to pop in after work
Yes – it’s perfect for this. I am there most Tuesday’s for the pub quiz… and some cider and cheese. The best way to relax after a hard day in the office!
I’ve not been to a pub quiz for aggess! I want to go to one now! Now cider and cheese is a favourite of mine!
