BEWARE this company went into administration and have now seemingly started a new business online called footwearmatters selling the same stock!!! Be very careful!
Been waiting for refund for 7 weeks, being repeatedly fobbed off with lame excuses. Will never use again.

bernadette3, 25 March 2012:
WOW IT HAD TO HAPPEN DIDNT IT I JUST THOUGHT I WOULD BE PATIENT BECAUSE I KNEW THAT AS A CUSTOMER IT WAS NOT ME!! TO WHAT DO I REFER
DESPITE BEING A REGULAR PURCHASER I STILL HAVE THE BOXES AND THE BAGS TO PROVE IT BUT NOT THE SHOES APART FROM ONE PAIR OF BOOTS BOUGHT SOME FOUR YEARS AGO AND EVEN THEN I CANNOT REALLY WEAR THEM WHEN IT IS RAINING AS THEY ARE QUITE SLIPPERY BUT AS I BOUGHT THEM IN THE SALE… MOVE FORWARD SOME TIME SINCE I HAVE HAD RUN INS WITH THEN AGAIN AT LEASE THREE OR SO YEARS AGO WHEN I BOUGHT A PAIR OF TRAINERS FROM THEM TRIED THEM ON AND DID NOT WEAR THEM AT ALL!! THEY WERE IN PRISTINE CONDITION, MY ONLY CRIME WAS TO BOX THEM UP INTENDING TO RETURN THEM FOR A REPLACEMENT OF SOMETHING ELSE AND THE TREATMENT I RECEIVED EVEN THEN WAS SHOCKING. I HAD CALLED THE EVENING BEFORE AT JUST BEFORE 5PM THINK IT WAS ABOUT 4.30PM TO EVEN TELL THEM OF MY INTENTION BUT THEN WHEN I FOLLOWED THIS CALL UP WITH ANOTHER I WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULD NOT BE RETURNED BECAUSE IT WAS OUTIDE THE 14 DAY RETURN OR WOULD BE BY THE TIME THEY REACHED EVEN THOUGH I WOULD BE PAYING FOR THEM TO BE SENT FIRST CLASS RECORDED ETC ETC TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY I WAS TOLD THAT NO ONE FROM THIER OFFICE HAD SPOKEN TO ME AND THAT I HAD BEEN RUDE BECAUSE SOMEONE HAD HEARD THE CONVERSATION APPARENTLY WHEN I TOLD THEM EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT OF THEM EVEN THEN. NEEDLESS TO SAY THERE WAS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY TO SELL THEM ON AND I WROTE A LETTER OF COMPLAINT AND SENT THE COPY OF THE LETTER TO TRADING STANDARDS AT STOCKPORT. FUNNY ENOUGH I DID EVENTUALLY GET A LETTER BACK FROM ONE OF THEIR DIRECTORS TRYING TO TELL ME THAT THERE HAD BEEN A MISUNDERSTANDING, THERE HAD NOT, IT WAS JUST POOR SELF-SERVING SERVICE!! DEALING WITH SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT LISTEN TO THEIR CUSTOMER.SECOND TIME I ORDERED A PAIR OF GREY BOOTS WHICH I SUSPECT HAD BEEN RETURNED BY ANOTHER CUSTOMER AND THEY HAD NOT NOTIFIED ANY ONE OF THIS THIS I CONCLUDED BECAUSE THE DAY I RECEIVED THEM COULD NOT WAIT TO WEAR THEM AND THE SAME DAY THE SOLE CAME AWAY FROM THE FRONT PART OF I THINK THE RIGHT FOOT, I WAS ONLY WEARING THEM TO VISIT A FRIEND WHEN AFTER I POPPED TO THE LOCAL SHOP – THIS TIME SENT THEM BACK PROMPTLY. CRAP QUALITY BUT THEY ARE ALL MADE IN CHINA SO WHAT TO EXPECT – I SUSPECT SWEAT SHOP.. HAD ASKED ABOUT THE ETHIC, EARLY ON WHEN A CUSTOMER BUT DID NOT RECEIVE AN INDIVIDUAL LET ALONE A REPLY…? THE THIRD TIME, WHICH MADE ME THINK THERE IS SOMETHING NOT RIGHT ABOUT THEM. BEFORE YOU READ WHAT I HAVE TO SAY GO AND READ THEIR SO CALLED MISSION STATEMENT ON HOW THE CUSTOMER SHOULD BE TREATED- ALL CRAP!! SORRY FOR THE EXPLICIT LANGUAGE BUT I CANNOT BE BOTHERED TO BE POLITE.
I BOUGHT MY LAST AND FINAL PAIR TOWARDS THE END OF THEIR WINTER SALE, I BELIEVE THE LAST WINTER- THE BAD ONE, IN THAT MARCH AS I FELT WITH THE ICY WEATHER THAT WENT ON AND ON… I WAS ASSURED THAT THEY WERE GOOD QUALITY AND THAT THEY HAD GOOD GRIP , BOTH LIES!!
CONSIDERING THE WEATHER HAD IMPROVED BY THE TIME I RECEIVED MY BOOTS HAVING PAID IN THE REGION OF £75, BUT THEY RETAIL AT £120 WHICH IS UNBELIEVABLE CONSIDERING I STARTED HAVING AN ISSUE WITH MINE AT AROUND 3 MONTHS AND THEY HAD NOT HAD CONTINUOUS USE. BUT REMEMBER THE BACK OF THE RIGHT FOOT BOOT ALWAYS SEEMED LOOSE IF THAT DOES NOT SEEM WEIRD. I GOT IN TOUCH WAS TOLD TO SEND PHOTOGRAPHS AS THE POSTAGE WOULD BE TOO EXPENSIVE ETC FOR THEM TO FOOT THE BILL OR SOME SUCH NONSENSE!! GOT MY EX TO TAKE THE PICTURES AS HE HAD A DIGITAL CAMERA THEY MADE ME SEND TWO LOTS IN THEN USED THE EXCUSE THAT BECAUSE I HAD ALWAYS ORDERED A LARGER SIZE , AS YOU KNOW THE FUNNY SIZING AND I AM LADIES SIZE 9 (43) BUT ALWAYS ADVISED TO ORDER A 9.5. THE BOOTS WERE ONLY LEFT IN AN 8.5, BUT THEY DID FIT AND IN OTHER BRAND IF THE WIDTH IS ENOUGH I CAN OCCASIONALLY FIT A GENEROUS 8. I WAS TOLD THAT I COULD NOT OF HAD MY FOOT FULLY IN THE BOOT DESPITE THE FACT REMEMBER THAT IT WAS ONLY THE RIGHT BOOT WHERE THE BACK COLLAPSED AND HAD BGUN COMING AWAY. BASICALLY TO CUT A LONG STORY SHORT I WAS TOLD BASICALLY THAT IT WAS ME AND THAT THERE WAS NOT A FAULT WITH BOOTS, I WAS ACCUSED OF PROTRUDING THE BOOT DESPITE THE FACT THAT IT WAS ONLY THE ONE BOOT. INFACT WHAT THEY ACCUSED ME OF DOING WOULD HAVE GIVEN MY FOOT/FEET SERIOUS TRAUMA AND BAD, BAD BLISTERS AMONGT OTHER THINGS. WHAT THEY SUGGESTED MADE ME LAUGH GIVEN THEY WERE RETAILERS OF HEALTH-BENEFITING FOOTWEAR. I TRIED TO ARGUE MY CASE FOR THE POOR QUALITY WHICH I BELIEVE IT WAS, SHOULD BE OVER A HUNDRED POUND PAIR OF BOOTS DISPLAYING PROBLEMS FROM HARDLY CONTINUOUS WEAR AT JUST THREE MONTHS!! AND THIS WAS FROM A CUSTOMER WHO LOOKS AFTER THINGS INCLUDING FOOTWEAR AND HAS HAD SOME OTHER WELL WORN MAKES FOR YEARS STILL GOING STRONG FOR COSTING A LOT LESS MONEY AND PRESTIGE. I EVEN SENT A LETTER OR WAS IT AN EMAIL TO THE DIRECTORS BUT I WAS OPENED – A DISGRACE – AND INTERCEPTED BY ONE OF THEIR CRONIES -SORRY WORKERS WHO IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS ACCUSED ME. I DID NOT HAVE A FURTHER CONTACT WITH THEM APART FROM AND GOT NO WHERE – I ELICITED AN EXPERT VIEW FROM MY REGULAR SHOE REPAIRER WHO WAS NOT IMPRESSED AND MADE A COMPARISON WITH THE INFAMOUS UGG BOOT AND THE POOR QUALITY OF SOME OF THE WORKMANSHIP THEY HAD SEEN AND IN TERMS OF THE MATERIAL -CHEAPER ONES USED CONCERNING STIFFENING. I WAS ADVISED THAT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN OF THE SAME QUALITY AS SAY TIMBERLAND ETC GIVEN THE STYLE AND THE ROBUST LOOKING NATURE OF THE BOOT. I ASKED LTS TO GO TO SOME WAY IN PAYING FOR AT LEAST THE REPAIR SO THAT I WAS ABLE TO WEAR THE PAIR OF BOOTS . HAD I NOT DONE THIS I WOULD NOT HAVE HAD A PAIR OF £75 BOOTS TO NO LONGER WEAR AS YOU CANNOT WEAR ONE FOOT. DO YOU THINK LOVE THOSE SHOES CARED – NOT A JOT!! THEY EVEN MADE SURE THAT THEY REMOVED ME FROM THEIR MAILING LIST – NOT LOSS!
SOMETHING I HAD REQUESTED WITH THE FIRST RUN IN WITH THEM BUT TO WHICH AT THE TIME THEY DID NOT LISTEN TO THIS FORMER CUSTOMER.I WILL NEVER NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN AND EVERYONE I TOLD THE TALE TO WERE NOT IMPRESSED, INCLUDING THE MY SHOE REPAIRER, BUT AT LEAST THEY DID A GOOD JOB IN REPLACING, REPAIRING AND PATCHING, OTHERWISE WHERE WOULD I HAVE BEEN. SO FAR SO GOOD BUT I KNOW FOR THE PRICE THOSE BOOTS SHOULD BE AND THE PRICE I PAID FOR THEM THEY SHOULD LAST YEARS BUT WILL NOT.
PLEASE, PLEASE A LESSON TO ALL THOSE DO NOT BE A CUSTOMER OF LOVE THOSE SHOES AS THEY CLEARLY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS UNLESS THEY ARE BEING NICEY, NICEY, BUT WHEN THINGS GO BADLY WRONG …THEY ARE AND ALWAYS WERE ARROGANT.
SO LET THE REAP WHAT THEY SOW… BUT I AM SORRY THAT YOU ARE STIL WAITING FOR REFUND I AM PLEASED YOU PURSUED THEM DO NOT GIVE UP. IF I HAD THE CLOUT LOOKING BACK I WOULD HAVE GONE ON WATCHDOG TO EXPOSE THEM AND FIND OUT WHETHER PEOPLE HAD HAD SIMILAR DEALINGS AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. I WAS ALWAYS RIGHT ABOUT THEM. GOOD LUCK. OTHER CUSTOMERS, IT IS A RECESSION AND A BAD ONE AT THAT, STAY AWAY FROM THEM. IT IS A NOW A MUCH BIGGER MARKET IN HEALTH BENEFIT FOOTWEAR SO THEY HAVE A GREAT DEAL OF COMPETITION AND THE SERVICE WILL BE AN IMPROVEMENT ON THEIRS- YOU WILL NOTICE LTS CHANGED THEIR RETURNS STIPULATION!!

Hi
Thanks for your valuable information. Many consumers around the world have been cheated by the company love those shoes and still their website comes out with various sales offers which should be totally stopped so that the new buyers are not put to stake.
thanks and regards

Today I received a mail from shula stating that she cannot help me in the refund and has advised me not to sue a company which no longer exists. shobhana
-
Loobyluu2, 31 August 2012:
Thanks for this info – I am still going to seek legal advice and I suggest everyone else does the same. “Shula” is clearly this nick person so obv he will recommend not sueing, these people make me sick and are nothing more than con artists!
-
sachari1958, 31 August 2012:
Hi shula
In reply to your e mail I wish to state that you do not understand the agony of the customers and you make faulty promises. Better access the internet and view the complaints made by the various customers around the globe. People have shared the information with regard to yourself acting in two names such as shula and nick. Moreover what do you mean by moving into administration of the company which do not exist at all. The customers under grievance are definitely going to sue the company and how long you can run away from the wrath of the public. It is advisable and prove your goodwill by refund of the amount to the customers who have small claims.

I received the same information from Stockport Trading Standards to contact the liquidator which i have done. LUCKILY I have since received my full refund yesterday from Paypal, I did this by making a complaint to the financial ombudsman, they put in a complaint to paypal and they paid up. The complaint was due to not being able to open a dispute through paypal after 45 days, when clearly you can’t place an order, receive the goods, return them and then give 30 days for a refund all within a 45 day period. I advise all to try this method to get your refunds, good luck everyone x

what are the chances of getting the refund from the liquidators and how much time it will take
I doubt they have deliberately conned people, they have probably tried to carry on trading to meet their debts, not allowed unfortunately but understandable. I will just sit in the queue and hope I get something back, probably about 50p if I'm lucky.
I'm not sure it's worth expending time, effort and money to get your refund, if they have no money they can't pay it back. You will be contacted eventually by someone from the liquidators.

You are quite astonishingly naive. Are you ‘sad’ for their staff, suppliers and customers? Think it through, for goodness’ sake.
I too am owed money from LTS and after reading comments on this site last night realised I wasn't alone.
Earlier this year I had to email several times to get a refund and was eventually send a cheque.
I gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered more shoes that had to be returned. I chased them up for a refund at the beginning of July with no reply.
I email again last night stating that I would be taking matters further if I did not hear back and got an email today stating :-
"I am really sorry to advise that the company has ceased trading and will be going into liquidation.
You will be contacted by the administrators regarding any outstanding monies owed."
Lets hope we all eventually get our money back!

In July I rang PayPal and although they would not refund they advised me to contact my Credit Card provider. I did this and got my refund back within 2 weeks.
PayPal has put special conditions on my account for a time until the matter has been finally resolved between the 3 companies. But the conditions do not seem too limiting especially as PayPal no longer seems to be very useful just for safeguarding payments. I now use my credit card directly safeguarded by the bank's safety measures and have had no problems.
Hope all this hardgained info helps.
PS It was said on Money Saving Expert this am that LVS has stopped trading. All the best!

Again urging everyone who has been in same position as me (see mail below) to take the matter to Small Claims Court – easy to do, costs are repaid. LTS paid up immediately in my case.

Just noticed today that they have ceased trading, my ‘letter of intent’ arrived today, not sure if its too late now, if it’s worth small claims or not? Chargeback and paypal can’t do anything, if anybody has any advice please let me know.

just to update everyone. My credit card is making enquiries on my behallf, but I have just today heard from Stockport Trading and copy here their reply.
Thank you for your email. Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding, as I was on annual leave last week.
I have contacted the business in relation to your complaint regarding the outstanding refund.
I can advise that the business is having financial difficulties and is unable to process your refund at this time. We are liaising closely with the business and it is likely that it will go into administration shortly. I will update you as soon as I receive further information.
As you paid using your ………., I would suggest that you contact your card company and ask them to do a ‘chargeback’ (I understand that there is a 120 day time limit for this).
If your card company refuse to process a chargeback, you may wish to consider lodging a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman Service (make reference to this when you contact your card company). -

Was it actually Stockport Trading Standards you have been dealing with? I contacted the number that they give on their website and it’s a Consumer Advice Helpline. All they could suggest is that I now write again to Hamsin Ltd (who trade as LTS) and hope that they go into administration and I can claim my £321.28 as an unsecured creditor. I checked out Hamsin Ltd on a site called www.duedil.com was not happy with what I saw.
-
ann255, 3 August 2012:
Yes it was Stockport Trading Standards at Stockport Council whom I emailed.
If you paid by credit card then your credit card company is liable not only if the firm goes bust, but also in respect of non refunds. This is what we were told by trading standards!!! I am in negotiation with my credit card company over this and will post info. when known. Am now going to check out the Hamsin Ltd site.
i paid by paypal and as someone else mentioned they will not look at a dispute which is over 45 days which of course it is by the time you wait for the 30 days love those shoes say it will take for refund.
i have emailed stockport trading standards to tell them and have given them the link to this website so they can see how many others are in the same position.
they are CROOKS and no one should deal with them.

Needless to say I would never order from them again! They do not deserve one star!
Comment Be the first to comment on this review for Love Those Shoes
i paid on paypal and unfortunately i didn't raise a dispute within 45 days as i never expected them to be the crooks they clearly are. however, i rang paypal later and they created a case to flag up a problem with this seller. if they notice other disputes or issues with the same seller they'll investigate their account and take action, so if you paid by paypal and are owed a refund i'd urge you to report it. we may or may not get our money back through this channel but it's just as important to file a complaint against these crooks.
they've got a big sale going on and i do wonder, as someone else here has, if they're going out of business. they deserve to, for their lack of ethics. disgraceful.

Same experience as I am having. Rubbish goods and rubbish service. Do not buy aything from them.

Chrissie1989, 27 June 2012:
Very much the same experience. Followed Trading Standards advice and no response to two letters sent by recorded delivery, then contacted credit card company re chargeback (Cost was £26 so didn’t meet the usual £100 so I hadn’t previously got in touch). Credit card company credited my account very quickly once I sent copies of email etc and said they would pursue it. Just had email from Lovethose Shoes to say they have refunded my money to credit card.
It is now five months since I returned the shoes to Company. I have used this company for many years and this is the third time I have returned anything. First time I had to chase them up second was ok but this just takes the biscuit. I am appalled that they are still trading when they blatently ignore their customers and keep money that does not belong to them. DO NOT USE -
scififan, 29 June 2012:
I originally posted here on the 13th June as I also was awaiting a refund. I would like to let everyone know that I have now successfully received a full refund. Another poster suggested I submit a claim through the Small Claims Court. I also read somewhere that before doing this you should send them a ‘Notice Of Intent’. I basically just sent a letter advising them that unless they gave me a full refund within X number of days it was my intention to take legal action to recover the debt. The letter just included the order number, amount due, a brief history of what had happened including when the goods were purcased, returned and dates of e-mails sent to them. I sent the letter by Recorded Delivery and by mid morning the next day I received an e-mail to say the refund had been processed. My credit card company has confirmed receipt too. I just wanted to let everyone know that instead of quoting Distance Selling Regs it might be better to threaten legal action if the refund isn’t sent as it worked for me unless it was just a coincidence. They already know they are breaking the D.S.Regs so in my opinion they just ignore those letters as they don’t care. I hope this helps a little
-
PT44, 29 June 2012:
thanks. as it happens, i sent them another letter by recorded delivery yesterday, saying the things you mentioned. no payment yet but let’s see…i’d be very happy to take legal action against them.

Contact trading Standards (google TRading Standards Stockport and you will get a tel number). They called me a few weeks ago to see if I had received my money. Keep logging here and MoneySAvingExpert and anywhere else. I notice this thread now comes up top if you type in lovethoseshoes review, despite heavy blogging from LTS. Let’s keep it there to try and save others.

Wow! Wish I had googled them before I bought. Ok, I only bought a pair of crocs for £22….however, I received them this morning and one is MUCH smaller than the other.
I e – mailed them and someone called Shula e- mailed back and suggested I go to TIMPSONS to get the smaller shoe streched!!!! Ha Ha I have to laugh. What kind of customer service is this?
I consider myself lucky to have only lost £22 unlike others on this thread. -
scififan, 16 June 2012:
I haven’t lost much more than you but I feel that these type of companies give online retailers a bad reputation. It makes me so angry that such a big company can get away with what I presume is an illegal act. I am going to write a letter of intent initially. After that I too will be putting in a claim through Money Claim Online.
-
wenwill777, 16 June 2012:
On second thoughts think I will ring Stockport Trading Standards. I have scrolled down and read more of the messages from people who are more out of pocket than I am so i feel like I should do more. I sent “Shula” Nick???? An e -mail but I do not expect a reply. This company should be closed!!!
-
jillyjones, 17 June 2012:
See my posting below. Just submit a Small Claim through Money Claim Online and get your refund plus costs very quickly. Then do not touch Love those Shoes again with the proverbial barge pole.
Have since used Sarenza and returned shoes – excellent service. -
wenwill777, 17 June 2012:
Thank you- will do. Looked on the Sarenza site and found Earthies which I have been looking for in the UK so thanks for that!Although they do not have my size but now I now where to look in future.
Suspect this company in trouble and would like to get refund before they finally go out of business.
Follow up 12 June.
Submitted claim throgh Money Claim Online ( Government site). Letter today informing me that claim had been sent to defendant (Love those Shoes) and they had until 25 June to reply.
Mail from Paypal - full refund plus court costs (£25) paid into account today - 12th
Urge anybody still waiting for refund to do the same - very simple but obviously effective!
Please do not buy from this company.
I cannot give it a star rating, unless minus70000 counts! Agh, I see I have to give it rating to get it published, but take no notice of that.
Like everyone here, I returned several items back in 2011 and after the 30 day refund policy came and went, still no refund. Emails were fobbed off with the same excuses everyone else got, including the total BS about Paypal verification failure. (Please note: if you pay with Paypal, they will not open a dispute with a seller after 45 days of purchase, which is probably why these crooks eke it out).
ADVICE: Trading Standards informed me that Consumer Direct deal with these issues and they advised me to send the Final Notice before Action letter addressed to the MD (which you must send by Recorded Delivery). I received a cheque about a week later which I banked straightaway (a day longer than normal clearance as they use RBOS - funny that). FYI, if the cheque does bounce then this is fraud and can be reported as a crime.
They are hoping you will give up and stop pursuing them for your refund.
DO NOT STOP. THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO UNLAWFULLY RETAIN YOUR MONEY. Send them the final letter and you will get your money back. Trading Standards stated they will investigate if enough complaints are made. You are doing a public service by warning everyone you know to avoid them like the plague, expose their dishonesty and register your complaints. We'll show then they can't get away with it.
My thanks to everyone here who shared their experience and advice which helped immensely.
