Weihnachtsmarkt Fleetinsel

A nice alternative to the bigger, more crowded Rathaus Weihnachtsmarkt. Good that it’s surrounded by bars and restaurants too.

I really nice Christmas market, just on my walk between home and work!
All the food and drink stalls you need: Gluehwein, Sausage rolls, deep fried potato, pork rolls, etc etc plus a couple of gift stalls.
Not too busy, not too expensive. Possibly not worth a long journey to get to unless you also visit the main markets in the bigger squares, however its great for Afterwork drinks and a drinks and snack with friends.

This is my favorite Christmas market when it comes to Hamburg. It’s much more relaxed than the ones on Jungfernstieg, Gänsemarkt or Rathaus. You basically have the same things on offer so nothing is missing out but it’s just a cooler crowd, less touristy in my opinion. Also helps that I only live a couple hundred meters from here so I could technically crawl home after too many Glühweins. Plus, this year they have a tent in back which is the warmest place to be if it’s really cold.
