Safestore

Our family used the Safestore at New Malden, 88 Bushey Road, SW20 0JH

The Storage provided was clean, convenient and very secure.  It was a pleasant change to storage warehouses we had used in the past in various locations in London.

Staff on site were always friendly and accommodating.

Before you book and get a quote, be prepared to pay a little more than their initial quote.  If you get a quote over the phone be sure to ask if it already includes the VAT, insurance, locks etc etc and protect yourself, ask them to send you confirmation of their quote in writing/email.  We got a verbal quote over the phone but when we showed up with a house-full of contents, we ended up paying significantly more than what was verbally quoted to us.  We could not back out as our Removers had already deposited all our personal effects into their storage.

The only real let-down is that it is easy to incur unnecessary costs; check all your invoices - for exact due dates on bills.  We incurred frustrating costs as billing can be less than one calendar month; so every invoice will have an earlier due date each and every month.  If you trust their Accounting system you can get caught out.  

If the friendly staff advise you verbally that ...

"the time to give Notice to terminate/vacate storage can be given "AS SOON AS YOU RECEIVE THEIR INVOICES BY EMAIL" - please be warned that their automated emails can be sent to you 13 days before the Due Date despite the fact that their Terms and Conditions require 14 days Notice Advanced warning.  They can gain a days' storage cost if you are not on your guard.


It is misleading.
